Punk is dead. Grunge is dead. Everything is rewarmed. If the what-evers of this generation want to be taken seriously then maybe you should stop searching for the deeper meaning and take it from people who were there the first time around. Punk is glorified into something it wasn't and kids walk around like they are more hard core then Sid or Johnny could ever hope to be. Lighten up kiddlets and find a place of your own. You want to grow a mohawk, then go do it. Just don't expect anyone to take you seriously till you earn the respect and maturity as you walk around with it. Also don't ever, everask/think anyone has to make life easy due to how you look. I know of adults who are lame in docs and mohawks, they have not a clue and not sense enough to admit they just like the look.

By the way....my husband had a mohawk, and dresses like a punk, he dresses grunge, he dresses EMO.
