Im allergic to citrus fruits... Everytime I come into contact with citrus fruits... The smell gives me migranes and if I eat a citrus fruit, I burn and my throat swells up...

I can drink vodka but not orange juice or any orange drink like orange liquor. Lemons are worse and limes are the same.

Im fine if theres a small ammount in stuff but not too much... I don't think its the citric acid, I think its something else. Oranges have always been far to acidic for me though.

i have a friend who can eat carrots when they're steamed but not raw... weird, huh?

When I smell them, I get a migrane. When I eat them, my mouth and throat swells and I get blisters in my mouth. Thats only if I eat more than a few segments, if I eat one segment, I get a tingly feeling in my mouth and a few little blisters. I can't even touch Lemons or limes anymore.

The steamed carrot thing is weird... Never heard of that before.

Did you know what being allergic to citrus fruits is really quite common? I wouldn't have known. I know a few people that are worse than me, they have a bad allergy towards citrus fruits like a penut allergy. Fucking nasty allergy... Im glad Im not that bad though.

i used to be allergic to oranges as well....in fact, i was allergic to a lot of shit, chocolate, animals, pollen, etc.....but with years and years of allergy shots, i'm now immune....but it took me awhile to become immune to oranges.....i used to never eat the fuckers and hate orange juice, but for the past few months i've been absolutely addicted to orange juice.....go figure....and i drink it damn near everyday....suffice to say no allergic reactions......but every now and then, if i eat an orange, my arms break out in a rash
