Well, heres the update..

The old owners(the property has been sold) sent memo's stating the basic common sense items, be quiet, don't park on the lawn, throw trash in the dumpster, ect.. That seemed to work utill the building was in limbo(about 30 days) while being sold. Seems the 'brother' of the neighbor upstairs had a verbal confrontation with the guys that lived across the hall about heat,noise,parking.. the young guys couldn't hang and told the owners(old) that they moved. The brother of the neighbor has since squatted the apartment. with(apparently) his girlfriend.. Both losers by most any definition i can visualise.
And the new owners are now proceeding with eviction on that end. But low and behold the almighty Karmatron!! The police showed up this evening(8ish pm local time) and arrested both squatters.. Not for that mind you.. But for... LOL gotta love this one.... Domestic Disturbance! and pissing off the cops that showed up.....
So now they have the property owners info that i had added to the case file(it's good to 'know' some cops). And, if i'm lucky, the door will be rekeyed in the AM to solve the problem for good(well, untill the upstairs neighbor does something equally stupid like break in). Then the problem may be solved by her eviction as well.... And then maybe the all night traffic and noise will end untill they rent to college students... LOL

Holy shit, I had something like that happen to me a while a while ago... Only we were living in a basement apartment... The people moved out and at 7am we heard some real loud noises... Then, there was this overpowering smell... Like burning wood and varnish... I was passing out and taking seizures from it and our room mates had to leave because the chick there got a migrane from it.

Baiscally, the landlord hired people to sand the hardwood flooring throught the whole house upstairs and revarnish it....

We didn't hear shit about it, no letter, no noice, no warning.... To top it all off, the vents that were attached to our ceiling, connected to the upstairs floors so all the fumes and wood shavings came vented out to us... there were airvents above our beds....

My GF's neighbour downstairs is mainly okay apart from the fact he usually brings a sucession of girls home to have pornstar sex with....

He's loud but usually so are they and it lasts porn-star lengths of times.

Good on him, bad on the little old dear below him and on us.....

And the new owners had maintainence wake my arse up early today so they could "fix the toilet" that they fixed last week.. Tuesday they are 'inspecting' all the units to see what things need to be done. They will fine you(add to your rent due) for a bunch of different things.. I got a warning one today for having a rake, shovel, broom, and icemelt outside my unit under the stairs.. So when they come tommorrow, i'm gonna tell them that if they want me to water the lawn for them, i either want a storage area outside the unit, or a waiver for any carpet damage occuring while i live here! As i will have to bring the hose inside my apartment everyday and i'm sure to get some water damage inside doing that...

OH, and they powerwashed the building today as well... Feckin window in the livingroom isn't sealed, so i now have water in/on/around my TV, VCR, DVD, XBOX, and maybe playstation.. And problems with them in the next week and i'll be asking them for replacements!!!

Shite, i should just ask the old lanlords if they have any other units in this area open and move!!!

now i understand why my husband does not like living in apartments...we're lucky he settled on a nice duplex, were lucky however and our landlords very nice, full time working son lives next door...so we occasionally hear the bass of his surround sound at bedtime...but other than that...he mows the lawn.

our other neighbors however, they have two children that are out, all day, and make a significant amount of trash mess...they're nice, non english speaking children, and play well with my daughters...but they're a mess...as mia muttered out the other day coming home that "their mom is a lazy ass, that doesn't clean their house"...(i wonder where eight year olds pick this up from) she was in their house and apparantly it doesn't smell to good, and then preceded to ask me why their house stinks.

yeah, mia has been getting into trouble at school for using words like ass and telling kids their going to hell...*shrugs* we don't use those words.

So here it is, Just about a year since i started this thread..
The old neighbors moved out last year when the new owner hired a different PMC to take care of the place. And now i have new neighbors that just moved in.
Guess I'll have to get used to people walking around all night long! Heh, and i also have a new neighbor above my kitchen area (kinda an "L" shaped apartment). I have two units that are above my ceilings. And the one thats above my kitchen/front room is a clean freak. Moved in less than 20 days ago, and has already vacuumed 12 times, and gone through one of those things of cleaning wipes(180 count). at least she does the carpets during the evenings, not early morning. Now you might be thinking that it's no big deal to clean your apt often.. Let me tell you how big this place is now ( it used to be a bit bigger ).
If you took out the wall, counter tops, and bathroom fixtures, it would be approximately 13'4" by 19'8". With the walls, closet, bathroom, kitchenette figured in, the carpeted area is actually only 4'8" by 16'2"!! Not a lot to clean really. The only annoying thing about her is her music and her voice, as she likes to sing while she cleans. Swear she's tone deaf sometimes.

Now the other neighbors... The ones over my bedroom area.... *sighs* Just 2 people and an illegal cat. And i really could care less about the cat. But they 'practice' their guitar and keyboard at random times. WITH volume. Without knowledge it seems.
Here it is 5 AM, and both neighbors have finally gotten quiet. I've been up since 9:30 yesterday morning. And this is the first time it's been quiet. Guess i should turn my music up and give them a taste of what it gets to be like for me!! LOL I think i still have some surf punks on a cassette somewhere..
I swear though.. Once i have the funds, I'm buying this building and converting it back into a single family home. No more neighbors 'cept for the units out back..

Christ-All-Fucking-Mighty!!! The clean-freak lady from Nigeria is already up and moving shit around!!!
Holy Fuck!! She must be a speed freak or something to sleep for 1/2 an hour before starting again!!
And yes, it's only been 20 minutes since my last post...
