i'm ready to sell what we can and shoot the rest of the damn thing...everytime we plan a "couple" trip it breaks...last year it was a trip to spokane...the carbeurator(sp)and fuel pump gave up the ghost...this year, a trip to meet another couple...and our engine blows up. To add to the irritation it was in the process of picking a daughter up from school and taking the other one to the doctor...so i'm stuck in the middle of a snowstorm walking three miserable blocks with two children cold and gloveless...saying the hell with going another two blocks, i just took them to the emergency room...for a sinus infection finally out sixty dollars we are now home and stuck with a weekend home and a very sick child Stupid Cars!!!

snow tires don't plan on getting a lot out of. as for the carbs, it dependes on retail. i usually throw my summit racing catalog out so i can't price check for you. but hey, if you aren't going to use them, might as well make some money.

out of curiousity, what kind of car was it?

hmm...if i was back in the states, i might be able to fix the car for you...too bad (used to be a mechanic, btw)

it'd be appreciated my techy husband and brother in law have been at it all day...everytime they think they have one thing fixed, it leads to another...they are now down to a strange puff of smoke from the passenger side of the engine when pressing on the gas pedal...

I think the root of it all is it's an evil car...not bad for an eighty four buick however, it was a gift and i'm just a girl

i hate cars that fuck up constantly. i've owned two that i would lump into that category... talk about irritating. i'd say take it out to a bad part of town, set it on fire and then report it stolen. maybe you'll get some insurance money off of it.

Well, my vehicle has been sitting in my yard for about a year because the transmission is very bad.

Yeah, well i got you allllllll beat. When I turned 18 I really really needed a car to go to work and school. I only had a few hundrend bucks saved up and that isn't gonna buy me anything reliable, so, I figured, well I have a good job, why don't I get a loan out and get a good car. (cuz i was 18 and stupid.) So, I got a barley used '98 plymoth neon for $10,000. It was a nice car and the payments were cheap so I was happy. So, after 2 years the car was still running good, but it was a neon and the miles were getting high and my warranty was almost up, so I traded it in and got a new one. THIS IS THE BAD PART: For whatever reson, they didn't to the pictures for the insurance company "right there" like car places usually do, so I was suppose to go to it myself, right. Well, on the way to get these insurance pictures, guess what happens? Yeah, *crash*... no full coverage insurance... so here I am with $12,000 owed on a car that's worth maybe $6,000 right now, so I can't even take it back. Yeah, so I have to pay about $500 a month between car payment and insurance for a car that's fucked up and I STILL have to pay to fix it!

Oh P.S.: I never had an accident before, nice timming huh...

hmm and here i am i have a 76 dodge charger sport that i have had since i was 15.. i am 28 now.. and it still runs ... i just need to do a full custom rebuild and i will be all happy...

Any old gearhead can always use an edlebrock carb. It's worth a try, you should be able to sell it no problem if the carb is in good shape. Same with the tires.

And also, if you want a good reliable, inexpensive car, just get a used, mid- to late-90s Honda. My parents are on their second Accord, and I doubt my mom will ever buy a different car again. My dad had a Prelude a long time ago that still ran like it was new at 204,000 miles. He sold it to a high school kid for $500, it ran fine, but he just wanted something newer and with lower miles.

damn skrate. American cars from the 80s are about the most unreliable things out there, especially the ones made by chrysler. How man Chryslers from the 80s do you seen driving around today? Not many.

Yeah I saw a K car the other day. It was still running, that amazed me. I wanted to buy it for like $50, spray paint some flames on it, spend about $50 on stickers and stuff and rice it up, and put the cheapest subwoofer I could find in it, and drive around with my friends, trashing the car.

it's not even a year old, and was put in to work with a large v8 engine(it was such a nice car ) now were driving a little aries wagon but it's reliable, was well maintained and only 500. My husband is already and expert at aries...

i live in montana...we had a plan for a spokane visit last year(about half a day away)...that's when it died the first time after a tune up (we had the carberatour replaced at that time)

and arsinik, i've considered just hauling it someplace and burning it...but it'd cost money to tow it...

this is wonderful that so many are willing to help with a car they no so little about but how i loved that car. *sniffles*
