i have a friend of mines, who has just a slight gland problem, only diff is, she has the one that keeps the weight off! she can eat like a horse (not that she does!) and not put on a pound..she was actualy losing weight for a while, but i think the docs put her on something, or it just settled itself (not sure if that is even possible though.)

I mentioned it once before but my best friend is a mobidly obese guy, probably due mostly to glandular problems. People including his parents have tried to get him to seek treatment for that kind of thing but he is too apathetic as of right now and resents his parents.
I think that the best thing they could probably do would be to throw him out of the house. It would get him moving at least.

Sometimes regular production can return by itself, especially if the imbalance had a cause, rather than just a genetic fault etc. And yeah, that's the other side of the thyroid, it can speed up your metabolism something chronic.

They say most obesity is down to learnt behavious. Fat parents give their kids larger portions so the kids get fat and feed their kids larger portions etc etc. There's a kid in my form who will have a fried breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, snack, dinner, supper... He ate a whole cake for lunch once. I yelled at him, and told him he would die before he hit 30 if he kept on the way he was going, but that didn't go down too well. I wasn't saying it to be mean, he's a nice enough guy and it seems a waste.

to me there is acceptable and then there is flat out fat. If a chick looks good with a few extra pounds then he who cares, if she is like 100lbs over weight then we might have an issue. people need to realize that in the end there is more then just looks to the way the person is. I know a couple of girls that aren't thin as sticks and probably have some extra mass to them that look really sexy. If your happy witht he way you look, and you got a guy or gilr that doesn't care with the way you look, then fuck the rest of them and tell them to mind their own buisness. one thing i have gotten into doing with people that give me advice I don't want is:

as far as i'm concerned, i've seen enough pictures of you to say that you do have an issue that threatens your health and quality of life. and it's something that can change, i don't care how many "failures" you've had in the past or what's in your genetics. i find that only an ass would gloss over this issue and leave you feeling complacent. you do need to deal with your weight. if not for the sake of vanity, then for the sake of living an average lifespan.

Okay, now that it's been said twice, I can say it: I agree. You don't have a "woman's figure," mmmkay? I think we all know that, yourself included. I've seen plenty of pics and it isn't a "little extra padding" or a "few extra pounds." It's not like if you lost 10 pounds, you'd look like a pre-pubescent boy. and you know that. There are charts everywhere that shows the healthy range of weight for a woman your height and age. Does yours fall in there somewhere? No offense, but I doubt it, and since i assume you aren't a bodybuilder, I'm guessing that being above that range is not intentional.

Don't dwarf your issue because you don't want to deal with it; it's still there to everyone who does. These kinds of delusions are the same kind that make those really REALLY gross women on Jerry Springer wear super-slutty outfits. Any sane person can tell that they shouldn't be wearing that, but they're in such denial that they could convince themselves they were J. Lo's identical twin.

Only the likes of seals, whales, penguins and such have natural fat in any quantity.
Now the size of my arse put me right in the middle of a glass house, so trust me, there will be no stones coming, but when people talk about a woman having a natural body, I think of someone like Marilyn Monroe, breast, butt, and most importantly, proportion.
Nothing bigger than that.
I agree major skinnyness is unnatural, and that so is obesity.
You don't see fat horses running about in the wild, trees full of puffing, exhausted birds.
What I do see is more and more people in their thirties having strokes and heart attacks. These things creep up, and then before they know it they've screwed their health.
