nope. there's no way around it. i pointed out to the people in charge of canadian immigration, who i met at an emigration conference that the system was flawed but they said they couldnt do anything coz its all based on the canadian education system.

i just decided bollocks to it, and i'll just get my degrees over here and then do some mini tests or whatever to learn their education system or hook up with some school or whatever in the future.

emigration and living/working/vactation/student visas are a little more complicated than hiring a truck.

As it should be. I meant more in a state to state move, referencing most kids who whine about being away from friends/lovers/internet flings. That kind of shit is ridiculous.

In fact the United States even after 911 has some of the easiest ways to immigrate to our country. They may scrutinize you a bit more if you are of middle eastern descent but otherwise it is fairly easy.
I have a friend of Egyptian descent who got citizenship and just got married 2 months ago and now his wife is following him and should arrive in about 6 months. Easy.

If you think it is complicated please look at other countries where it really is complicated or next to impossible.
