A few years ago I accidently ripped one of my big-toe nails off on a big, metal spike nail. Can you guess which one?

Lucky guess. All I did was clip that one a little to far back last time I cut them.
If they look a little mangled keep in mind that I am someone who likes to jog barefoot over snow and ice outside.

I should try going barefoot next time I go on a major hike.
If your feet are tough enough for it you really are better off going outside barefoot, depending on the terrain. My brother and I went walking through the woods once and he's really into hiking from a technical standpoint, he aways has the most expensive gear for example.
So him and I are hiking through dense, swampland and he's wearing his hiking shoes with high-traction treads, pants and a hooded sweatshirt. I'm just wearing jean shorts and a t-shirt. Dressed like that I could just ford through the swamp without getting soaked while he was trying to find a path from island to island and getting drenched and irritated the entire time we were out there.
Meanwhile, I was just taking a nice, relaxing wade through the pools of the swamp.
It was funny.
