I know this question has been asked a bazillion times before, but since a lot of new people post in the Friendship forum, I thought it might be interesting to stick this under the New Members thread.

So? Tell us, how did you find us, and what prompted you to join us?

I found Darkness.com when I was still in highschool. some 5 or 6 years ago I think. I was posting some stories I had written there before they ever made the forum. Then when they made the forum I came along. Now I am one of if not the longest to be here member.

Same as the above 'cept I was posting poetry (and I wasn't in high school). Then things were weird for a bit so I played elsewhere. Came back a while after that and darkforum had been born and the world was in turmoil. Guess that was reason enough to stick around. The rest is history.

Thefinalw0rd told me about it my first year at high school and everyone was just so honest, mean or not. It was kind of a reality shock but I just had to come back.

well i found darkness.com when i was a junior in high school... because i was interested in writing some stories.. so i was looking for a goth website and found this one... now i laugh at myself because of this...

i dont remember how i found this place... seems i joined in 01 which means i was in the last year of high school so was prob just 'surfing the net' or some shit.... i originally only posted in the poetry thread then slowly made my way arounf the place

I found it when Dyshade needed shelter and told me that the owner ( pre-sire ) has banned him and perma-shunted him to a porn site when he tried to get here.. So we used my comp at the time to get here..

I was searching for a "mean" "dark" forum because the one I used to post at closed a year or so earlier. Google led me here.

my sister told me about it and asked me to join.. so welll as you can see i did.

I found it because a friend of mine posted poetry on here. I didn't join at the time because I only had internet access at work. As soon as I got it at home, I joined up (perhaps a little naively) - hehe

CelticMist I believe her name was on here. I am not sure if she still talks on here,.. have to ask her. let me do that lol.

Google. Decided my usual place was too dead so I decided to look around. Not too obsessed with any current video games, movies, or books out right now so I just did a general search for boards related to the metal/goth scene for the hell of it and this place seemed very active.

I just found it by accident- putting in several different words in to see if they became a website.

I like this place..

I was busy looking for places to post my poetry and lyrics that was Goth friendly. Found this place and ended up modding the adult threads - go figure

dark_duqafuck gave me the address when i was in what my freshmen year...told me about it...told me to sign up and check it out. And i did. And i'm still here...crazy.
