Once we get enough submissions in each area the Judges would peruse and pick at the very least one submission from each person in each category and submit them to the project leader for final approval...... from there they would be sent to SirVLCIV or the primary Editor for editing and than sent to Aeturnus for formatting.... once a submission is picked each Author would have to be contacted for permission... probably in an e-mail format... Mightydreamer would have to print out each Permission E-mail which should also contain each Submitters Biography..... all Biographies should be contained at the end of the book....

excellent , just great, only a few things to add bro; Maaaaa otherwise Enigma'sEcho is perhaps the most proffesional painter and most experienced here, so she needs to be also on that visual arts team, and seeing how the poetry is gonna be the most work ma partner DC~DrugStoreCowboy~ and possibly Arcole should and can be added to the list also, thats it I also think we should try and apply as much of our visual arts to the written arts presentation in the book. for example A poem on half a page can be accompanied by a related piece of visual art and ofcourse both artists refered to and listed. Also I think the profiles of the artists should all be providede in an alphabeticly organized matter at the end of the book~like a glossary~

And brother please don't forget to credit THE MAN;

I'm really liking this idea of MD's. I'd be willing to help as well. I've already got some experience under my belt as the editor of my college's literary & arts journal, so let me know if you want me to toss my hat in the ring. This really sounds like a project I could sink my teeth into...

Yeah at the end of the book we will have a glossary containing all of the contributing artists Bios-pics if any- and names of course all in alphabetical listings....

Mighty are you going to need help coming up with a Permission page for E-Mail permission to use the work of our great contributors? Let me know if you do....

Excellent idea with the visual arts..... I think it is a wonderful way to distribute it throughout the book..... I am going to PM Aeturnus and see how hard it will be for him to put the entire thing into a PDF format so we can submit the entire book electronically to Publishers as well as also having it available for online distribution.....

Ok, Dy, how about a little clarification here on the job description, if you please?

Since its obvious we have editorial staff here to judge which stories, poems, and artwork get into the book, does that mean that Sir and myself have executive say on their decisions? Or are we simply to work on the layout end of things: font, positioning, materials, etc?

you guys will be working on layout as well as Editing Poems, and stories for grammatical errors and whatever else..... you will have executive say on submissions as will mightydreamer the Project leader.... you Mighty, and Sir will probably work with Aet on the formatting of poetry, font, and which pics will go with which poems and stories.... please let me know what it is you tink you should be doing... this ia all a work in progress and I am merely doing my best to coordinate it all.... as well as organizing everyone and prodding things in the right direction...

You pretty much described everything I do as editor of Legends. I was just clarifying. The only difference was that our entire editorial staff, including myself, made the decisions as to what pieces of any format got in. We actually had sheets we used to rate pieces via points, took the average of everyones' scores, and if it made the cutoff point, it was in. Of course, if anyone really liked a particular piece they were welcome to argue on its behalf, in order to change peoples' minds and raise scores.

I just wanted to get some forewarning as to whether or not I'd have to make any of the hard decisions. Sometimes, no matter what you do, things just work out so that there isn't any space left, and something has to go. Unlike the school journal, where all the pieces were judged anonymously, we're going to know who created what. Sometimes that can create bad blood if someone's piece gets rejected, cut, replaced, etc, especially when they know who the editors are.

We are going to attempt to accept at least one submission from each member who submits..... if room allows we may even take two..... A member can submit in each category and may get accepted in all three once.... this is a possibility.....

I am at the moment allowing mightydreamer to deal with all the technical aspects..... legalities and what not.... as well as contacting publishers unless he asks for help... which I will give him....

We will have to allow a while for submissions.... this will give us time though to hammer out all the technical difficulties we will face.... It looks like Aeturnus can put it all in PDF format for submission electronically to a publisher as well as possibly selling it online as an e-book..... which we will probably offer even after publishing for those who cannot afford the hard copy

Any further ideas will be greatly appreciated

One extra thing; possibly a short piece by Gargoyle and/or Sire.
