What's the rush? I didn't realize you were going for such a quick run through on this... The regular journal I work on doesn't give a submission cutoff date until two months before the book goes to press. It give your submitters time to get their pieces polished, and doesn't eliminate the possibility of a kick-ass last minute entry.

I see Ure point pal, but remember we are trying to have something tangible to show publishers what we have to offer, that was the reason for wanting to gather the art, but I am all for extension but then U gotta tell us how to handle the publishers

Publishers usually work well with you when you have something good to show them. If you rush it, you'll have a rushed-looking book. It all depends on how you want to run this anyway. Let me talk to my advisor at school. He's published in the past, he'd be able to tell me the best way to run this thing. Important thing now is to harp on those people you want product from. Fill their PM boxes full if you have to. If they want in on the book, they'll give you something, just don't rush greatness..
