say you were in a position to save 1000 people if only killed one person. would you do it?

how about killing 10 people to save 10,000?

would your answer change if you had to kill 1000 people to save 1,000,000 people?

Scale does play a part in my morality.I dont think I would kill a small amount of people to save a larger group, I dont have the right to but I wouldnt damn anyone that made that call.
I`m unsure about it. In my mind the end can justify the means if the end produces a great enough good to eclipse the immoral method to which it came about. It would be a case of being in a situation were the results and costs were or feel like they are assured and being a person that could handle the guilt of sacrificing people for the sake of others.

Oh the one hand, the good of the many outweighs the good of the few...

But on the other hand, the moral implications...
