There is no caste system in the United States, although if there was it would be ruled by the liberal elite like John Kerry and Ted Kennedy who think that if you dont go to college and get educated and all that then you get stuck in Iraq.
no caste system my ass... its just not as defined.
Not familiar with what a caste system is I see. We have classes (which are not static, if you are poor 1 day and rich the next, you jump classes) and the leaders of the high class are who? Thats right Ivy league liberals with yale degrees...
Its my background in Union Labor politics. I dont want unchecked corporations running wild either.
Don't you love the political system? It's like combo meals at fast food restaraunts. Nobody wants to actually figure out what they want in each aspect, so they vote according to a party-based template.
I work for a "Tinner's" union. Went through the whole apprenticeship. They can really piss you off, but they can make some really good points too.
Wow, wouldn't it be interesting if elections were done line this instead of a party-template vote? Would that be mayhem?
I've never thought any party reflected me anyway. Why can't we pick and choose and mix and match? Do it yourself politics
Moderate parties with broad appeal are always going to be the biggest, and it often makes sense to pick the one that's closest to you and support it. The Republican party, and the actions of individual elected members often piss me off, but I still support it. This Tuesday I'm voting for the republican candidates for US representative, and Governor of Ohio, but I'm throwing a third party a protest vote in the senate race. Mike DeWine has pissed me off for the last time, we might as well have a democrat if that's the best republican we can get for the job.
