In any case, it turns out that their Prime Minister rigged the elections that allowed him to come to power. Apparrently, the district that ended up breaking the "tie" was a staunch supporter of him. Naturally, the district was twisted in the now-Chief Executive's direction due to his influence.
Actually, the man wasn't even democratically elected, though the country was supposed to embrace the democratic system.
Now that he's in power, things are destroying the country from the inside. Government Policy has been confused. The economy has been dropping like a roller coaster as the Chief Executive hordes more and more money towards he and his cohorts.
Opposing points of views have been crushed beneath an iron fist. The legislature, heavily twisted in his direction like a complacant mass of children, has essentially allowed this all to take place in a legal way, much like a watered down version of Hitler's "Enabling Act."
Now, the people are repressed moreso than they ever have in the history of the country. Opposing points of view are quietly discredited and crushed in an attempt to acheive one-ness as a country. The goals of the nation have become fiercely nationalistic, almost dangerously so. Yet, the populace allows it to happen. Neighboring nations have grown wary of this country, and are scared of the Executive's misguided ambition
Hm. I wonder what country this could be...?

When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.
Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.
Oh yes, the same link you've posted before.
I'm amazed that you cannot see the rough beast clearly slouching toward Bethlehem. Yet you have convinced yourself of some far more outragous ideas . . .
