What do you guys think of super delegates?

Why are they neccesary?

To me it seems unfair and anti democratic since super delegates are appointed by the party and are not obligated to support the candidate chosen by the voters.

Let me know, because I don't know too much about them, and it seems kind of shady to me.

The party can pick anyone they want to. Forcing them to put forth the candidate chosen by primary voters aka (crazies) is undemocratic. Primaries etc are just popularity polls.

Howard Dean could pick Shrillary even if Obama has the majority of delegates
