| republicans really disgust me...and they're only getting worse -

is bush a tyrant or dictator? he's sure not being very american...
as if the atrocity they are making of america is not enough, demonstrated by the last election, they are now harrassing college students their basic right to vote...this months issue of rolling stone has a very angering, but thorough article discussing more of the cowardly nature the republicans display to keep america their own private playground..well...i guess i should say...institution.
everything from making students fill out a two page questionare,(of 150 only 4 have been registered0 making the places available for them to vote difficult to reach, flat out telling one student that he had to vote in his own country. He's as american as anyone going to the school, they're now even resorting to nationality in limiting those who are not in favor of bush to vote?
I guess the studies showing that a majority of the americans under the age of twenty four are anti bush...so they have to resort to more of his kgb tactics to assure he maintains his presedency?
as if that's not showing their true colors, how's this one...secret service agents interrogated a fifteen year old boy in prosser, washington for making anit war sketches in his art class...for drawing bush as a devil...the kid was actually punished for expressing his mind not agreeing with bush or his war...where will bush and his fat- pocket government's violation of americans rights end?
i really dislike him more...i'm almost afraid to have our cable hooked up...i may have to defect to a country like russia or something, just so i'm not associated with bush and his government in any way shape or form...i still wonder if bush cares about america? I'm not seeing anything to suggest that, just excuses to restrict the american people... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Hmm - I didn't see the Rolling Stone article - I'm 20, and registered to vote when I got my driver's license.
Wouldn't surprise me. I used to be more idealistic, now I do believe there are evil people (Rove) and stupid people (Bush) who can somehow rise to such station as president. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

the words to Guns 'N Roses, "Civil War" are fairly appropriate (I believe): these are just some extracts, refer the link for complete words.. Quote:
Refer:
Guns 'N Roses - Civil War
Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before
Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
And all these things are swept aside
By bloody hands time can't deny
..That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
My hands are tied
For all I've seen has changed my mind
But still the wars go on as the years go by
With no love of God or human rights
'Cause all these dreams are swept aside
By bloody hands of the hypnotized
Who carry the cross of homicide
[i]"We practice selective annihilation of mayors
And government officials
For example to create a vacuum
Then we fill that vacuum
As popular war advances
Peace is closer" [i] | "aeterna veritas" eternal truth Corporate Greed...

Bush isnt really a republican, he says he is. He isnt. The republicans dont want him, but they have a man in office, so if a supreme court judge dies he appoints the next, witch would be a republican.
I dont follow a party (that and I cannot vote) but thing is, bush is a bad picture of the republican party.
One thing I dont like is my parents are blind republicans, they vote republican, no matter who.
Look at the picture in its entirity.

*sigh* Democrat, republican... If you put someone with both intelligence and a concience in office I'd be happy. But the general concensus now is to pay your way into the White House (for really, how many billions are thrown at election campaigns, and how many billions of those came from companies who have a BIG say in the elected government?). But for a corporate democracy, that seems a good system...
... would though, that the hypocrites would stop declaring it a true democracy: Not the people, but the businesses have power in a corporate democracy. ... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...

... would though, that the hypocrites would stop declaring it a true democracy: Not the people, but the businesses have power in a corporate democracy. | my husband and i were discussing the lack of democracy in our democracy just yesterday...if i could afford it, i would move over seas, there may be just as many issues with other countries governments, but at least i wouldn't have to associate myself with this one...
i don't see why bush doesn't embrace some of the requirements that other countries, for example, ireland...before anyone can emply an out of country person, they have to make sure there is no one in that area that needs a job...not like our government who encourages fresh immigrants to establish themselves in america, and then take american jobs because they can pay them less...it's outrageous...and i think further proves your statement...
i was proud to be an american once...but seeing what bush has done, now i'm a proud canadian if anyone asks...from the alberta area...just north of the american border of glacier/waterton national park To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Heh. Whereas I'll be coming to the US instead... The drawback (kinda) of having a heart there. The system isn't a democracy at present... But that is not really a problem. It can be used to your advantage once you see trough the facade: You know what will come. And act on it. ... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...

i am for one fairly digusted with this as well....i never particularly liked being in this place because i guess since my parents were refugees they kind of had a jaded cynical view of life.... but yeah i agree with others who say they would move...to other countries because i would too.
