Although it is a fair argument to say that as a divine entity on earth Jesus could look as he chose, wouldn't it have been someehat worrying if he didn't look like his mother and adoptive father. Afterall the crime for adultary was stoning to death. Jesus having blond hair and blue eyes would raise questions about the roamn soldiery. A crime of sex out of wedlock also carried the penalty of stoning to death.

Needless to say, Mary was never stoned to death!

You will note that the explaination talks of "speculation" and of "conjecture" but that it does not equate "theory" to "fact," other than to expalin that facts are sometimes used to FORMULATE a theory. In short, a theory is not necessarily a fact.

Actually, your God, if your God IS God, hasn't changed at all. Only your CONCEPT of God has changed.

If you are referring to the suit before the Supreme Court on the Pledge, I think that it was Mr NEWDOW who brought the suit, not the government.

No, I do not "know" God personally.

I am pointing out that God, if God exists, is an unchanging entity--at least as far as we are concerned. And if God does NOT exist, then where is the potential for change?

Of course, if you want to say that God does in fact exist, but is nothing more that a figment of every person'e imagination, then that is different.

And again, how would anyone know what he looked like? Do we have pictures? All I have seen are artists conceptions of what THEY thought Jesus MIGHT look like.

Jesus never said he was God. He said that he was the SON of God.

So you say, but I fail to see where your definition of god is THE definition for god. YOUR god is perfect, others' are not (Greek gods?).
