This is a question about sex education. Why is it that words like penetrate, enter, and insert are used in sex ed texts, but words like engulf and envelop, which are equally accurate or inaccurate in describing copulation, are strangely absent?

Perhaps since classic sex involves an active male more so than a female, the male adverbs are used?

another example of what I'm hinting at is the word fuck. Fuck combines rage and sexuality in a single word. Violence and sex, two things that really belong far apart cna both be described in the same word. Why is that?

I said no such thing. I was commenting on Guy Person's point that sex and violence should be far apart. I suppose I have to go into detail since nobody understood what I was trying to say.
