Here is what I said my little fanboi---
""It is actually seen as an actual word within the American English language even though it is seen as a non-standard word. It has been in widespread use since the beginning of the 20th century. Yes it has two negatives which do make it redundant and yet it is still used for emphasis by even very educated speakers to enunciate a point or meaning.
""
Here is what Dic.com says(I usually use Merrian-Webster online because it is the "real" online dictionary. Which is why I said nothing about your dumb accusations.
""Irregardless is considered nonstandard because of the two negative elements ir- and -less. It was probably formed on the analogy of such words as irrespective, irrelevant, and irreparable. Those who use it, including on occasion educated speakers, may do so from a desire to add emphasis. Irregardless first appeared in the early 20th century and was perhaps popularized by its use in a comic radio program of the 1930s.""
Both seem to be very different besides the educated speaker part which I got from somewhere else as a descriptor.
Did you miss the part where it says it is an actual word on Merriam and who gives a shit about where they said not to use it To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Did you miss the part where every definition you've cited, or i've looked up myself say that it is a bad word to use, its a double negative, and that you should avoid it?

I think the whole original point was that someone said it wasn't a word. It clearly is, even if it's not technically a correct one. In Memory of the Busby Babes :

My friend you need a new hobby. Your hatred of me though misguided is quite amusing. But it is getting a bit droll.
Ain't is in the dictionary as well. You could say that it is not a word and should never have been one but that does not change the reality of it being a word
Now when you got all butthurt when I used insultive you were correct it was not a word and I said as much. Butthurt is not a word either but it serves its purpose to describe your feelings for whatever reason every time you read one of my posts
I do not mind that you think I am a cunt. I really could care less.
However irregardless is a word. It is regarded by Websters-Merriam as an actual word so you lose. I most humbly beg of you to not humiliate yourself any further. I will be no party to it myself any longer.
Back on track.

Wow, that was thrilling.
Anyway, I'm not particularly sure how to react about this whole "Obama is racist" thing. In fact I tend to avoid discussions about race because in general it is too complicated of an issue anyway.
I was going to type this whole long-winded thing about both sides really need to shut the fuck up, in more eloquent wording- of course, but ultimately I ended up deleting nearly the entire thing.
The relationship between ethnic groups in this country are not perfect, not by a long shot. However, I am not going to sit here and talk about how racist somebody is or isn't.
What I will say is the best thing we can do, white, black, hispanic, what the fuck ever is to do the best we can.
I can't say that I know what it's like to be stereoyped as being 'typical black girl' because, I quite simply am not. Most black people either don't like me, think I'm a foreigner or think I'm trying to be white.
But I have been in situtations where I have to have the uncomfortable thought process of "Are they happy cause I did well or are they happy because they picked the right 'black person' for whatever reason".
Ultimately, I choose to shrug it off. I have bigger things to worry about than trying to figure out if every white person I work for is part a huge Machiavellian conspiracy to keep me away from having any kind of influence over anything.
Excellence shows and I think that if I'm better than anyone else, by a wide margin, it won't matter what color I am.
I think that applies to anyone, regardless of race.

. | You can react however you would like.
Avoiding a conversation because it is complicated is pretty meek.
Be more assertive. Like thefr0g, he is stupid but we all like him because he is assertive
What the hell the thread was so derailed already

Okay truthfully, I avoid the race issue because I am a elitist bitch.
Racism's negative effects simply just lingering, it has evolved into laziness and a sheep mentality unlike any I have ever seen.
Just because someone doesn't fucking back up a stereotype doesn't mean that they are trying to mimic another ethnic group.
I can't fucking stand the notion that I'm trying to be a 'oreo' just because I don't like that crap that they try to pass off as rap and r&b. Or that I hate BET.
No one is fucking allowed to have an individual mindset about what they think and what they want for themselves. Everything's about the black community as a whole and anyone who isn't immediately trying to come off as a thug or an independant loud-ass chicken head is immediately 'not black enough'.
THE BLACK 'COMMUNITY' CAN GO FUCK ITSELF RIGHT ON INTO EXTINCTION.
Now, people who are doing the right thing and raising their children and teaching them that not everything is perfect in the world and there are other fucking things in existence outside of their 'block' or 'hood'. I can deal with that.
Everyone that calls it speaking correctly and not 'talkin' white', I can deal with.
Anyone that seems to have a fucking testable IQ, I can deal with.
I will willfully and totally admit that I immediately give up on anyone that looks like they just stepped out of the "Sucka-free" video rotation of MTV. I don't think it's tough I don't think it's sexy and I don't think it's a respectable fashion statement.
If I see another girl under the age of 18 having a child I will fucking strangle her myself.
I don't talk about race, because I get very angry at current state of 'black people' and I live and work in Philadelphia. Where the population is so fucking ignorant, I feel my IQ sliding down everyday I live here.
I never said that I think things are equal. I said that if I am better I will be rewarded.
I've come as close to the bottom of the damn bucket I am going to get. I walk 7 blocks past textbook examples of what I never want to be, what I never want anyone in my family to become.
No, I'm not in college right now.
I did go to college once upon a time, but I fucked up because I got too interested in not doing my fucking work and it got me kicked out.
I know what I did and I know I have to pay my dues if I ever want the chance to further my college education.
It feels quite a lot like and my friends are the only black people that see the merit in education and learning and being open to new experiences and just not fucking settling for what society expects for us.
My father and mother or both old enough to have experienced the civil rights movement.
My father fucking has scars on his body from fights and civil rights protests gone wrong and having to defend his little sister because a group of white boys that were trying to take advantage of her.
My mother has made herself so contrary to stereotypes that if she even thinks a white person is within sight, she won't touch chicken or watermelon.
Quite simply I don't talk about race because I think I'm better than a good 85% percent of black people and I would much rather not have the existence of them tarnish whatever reputation I hope to gain.
I don't know how I feel about Obama personally because I am just glad to have a black politican that can play fucking politics and not a glory whore like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. ( Well, it's certainly very arguable that Obama is a glory whore, but I'm glad that he's just not a 'token black politician.) I am just glad that a black man running for president is actually being taken seriously.
Serious enough to misquote anyway.

It may be a misquote but can you imagine a white politician who had ties to say the KKK? That politician would be crucified. But when a black man is in cahoots with a known racist church it is just the poor black man trying to escape the boundaries of his racial identity. I call fucking bullshit. He is just a racist and supportive of segregation as any white power nazi pos. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. S.O.D. The pastor of my church believes that believers and non-believers should not be married. I obviously miight have a bit of a problem with that.
My father is an Athiest, my mother is a member of said church. She still attends because her faith in God and the fact that she hopes to "pray" my father into Christianity.
People sometimes just over look the bad when it comes to organizations they are close too.

He is just a racist and supportive of segregation as any white power nazi pos. | That would be Senator Robert Byrd. But he has called it a childhood foolishness. Although he made rank so it wasn't just a passing fancy. He has never condemned what they stand for.
Same as Obama. He hasn't condemned his racist pastor but states he supports the man, doesn't agree with everything that church teaches.
The fact that he is also supported by the New Black Panther party, other racist preachers, and his wife who hasn't been proud of her country in her adult life until B.H.O. ran for president.
Has anyone else read about Black Liberation Theology? It's scary stuff. Pain is Nature's way of saying "At least your still alive!"
