The bane of American politics. The people who are responsible for the hell of this election. The people who are the target of speech after speech after endless fucking speech. The people who are the target of all the political ads we have to suffer through when we watch TV.......
UNDECIDED VOTERS
What the hell is wrong with these people? They are fucking morons, and I hate the idea of fucking morons deciding the fate of my country.
If they weren't going to vote at all, that would be OK, but they actually intend to vote. They don't know who they are going to vote for, but the choice they make could turn the election one way or the other.
We've had Bush for 4 years as the president. We've had over a year of press coverage of John Kerry telling us why we should vote for him. Why are there still people who haven't made up their minds? What more do they need to see? Isn't it clear to them? Are their minds so full of mush that they can't manage a coherent thought? Do they have a clue about how they think things ought to be in this country?
Yesterday I had an encounter with an undecided voter. He's not an idiot. He's one of the pharmacists I work for, and that's what baffles me about it. He's cluless about the issues. He told me he wanted to vote this year, but he didn't know who to pick. A woman was working next to me, she's a liberal, union supporter who is for Kerry. We looked at each other in shock. I told him "If you don't really know, and don't really care, then you shouldn't vote at all." My liberal co-worker agreed with me. She said "Yeah, don't just go in there and eenie-meenie-mynie-mo. If it's not important to you, then don't vote."
I hate them. Because of them, millions of dollars are being spent polluting the airwaves with meaningless 30 second ads.

So in reference the above...
Your just "annoyed" because people aren't happy with the concept of being limited to ONLY 2 CHOICES...
"the lesser of 2 evils".
Personally, living in a different country, which uses a "prefernce voting system" - I refuse to participate in a "sham of democracy".
Being "limited" to vote for the "lesser of 2 evils", IS NOT DEMOCRACY.
Nicely said Piggy.
Also, everyone is an undecided voter, except for those who are close minded or limited in intelligence.
What do I mean?
Well, if Bush goes up to the podium, looks at everyone, and then says: "I am a little teapot and I want to hump your wife" would you still vote for him?
I highly doubt it.
Thus, while you pretend to be decided you are actually undecided due to the uncertainty as to what will occur before you actually vote.

most people have just become disillusioned with the entire...electorial process, the canidates and the government in general...why vote for the lesser of two evils, when you doubt both?
i'm voting for kerry...because things can't be any worse for my family...it's never been this difficult to get anything as simple as healthcare...i've had healthcare while working since i was working, affordably...two years ago our jobs got out sourced to india...and so did our health insurance...we moved and found that we could no longer afford healthcare...we were working more, and making about the same, two adults juggling children and as many work hours as possible, and we just made our basic bills...that shouldn't be what america is about...
but...i have a reason to attempt to improve my life and family, it's something that does matter dearly for me, and it does not seem important to this administration...common people have always seemed to fair better under democratic leadership...if nothing else they know a thirty something mother voted, and if more thirty something's vote...guess who may catch their interest, since so many old people are dying, or going broke.
topic wise, i can understand how people come to that point in their life...nothing's changed for them, they haven't felt an impact from the world situation, whether from denial, acceptance or they're just financially secure enough to not care...they seem to have no desire to change anything.
what irritates me is that they seem to be the first to complain when things aren't going well in the world...i think voting gives a person the right to complain, if a person did not vote...why should they complain?

Everyone who has replied so far is talking about a different kind of person. If someone is dissolusioned with the process, or wants more than two choices, that would imply that they have thought about it.
I'm talking about the people who don't think about it, don't keep up with current events, but are still intending to vote because they think they have some kind of duty to do so. The kind of moron who's opinion can actually be changed by the last 30 second political ad they saw before they walked out the door to go vote.
Im not big on politics.I,too, feel like its voting for the lesser evil. But now I see that it beats not voting at all,and not having my voice heard at all.So its like, I keep my pride...but to myself, where it can never be detected by other fellow citizens of the US.Let me tell you right now, I've never voted before, and Im 21.So what?Things happen for a reason, and now I feel I am ready.Oh,and Im voting for kerry.Horrid things have come from bush in these 4 years.Maybe things will be worse with kerry, maybe they will be better. If they can be an ounce better than they are now,it's about time we test it out,and see what he's got.

You aren't what I'm talking about. You have decided, and you've based your decision on what you've observed from Bush in the last 4 years. Congratulations, you're not a moron.

Now I understand "who" your referring to...
These people (personally) I associate with adopting the mantra...
"Ignorance is Bliss".
They're completely ignorant to Politics and World Events - and feel somewhat 'secure' in this thought, of being Ignorant.
"It dosen't effect me, so why should I care".
I didn't vote in the last election. I went around saying, "Lesser of two evils, lesser of two evils, it doesn't matter who will win!". Then 9/11 happened. If Gore was in office I really believe we would not have gone to war. If we didn't go to war, I really believe we'd have been the victims of at least one more major attack since the WTC fell.
It showed me the importance of not just looking at the immediacy of a situation. People that say "it doesn't effect me" are ignorant, politics effect us all whether or not you like them. Half the things I practice and study are things that I hate but recognize a need for, or a presence of that's not going to go away just because I ignore it or want it to.

Stand And Fight Together BENEATH THE METAL SKY!"

Everyday, in Washington DC, 560 people(450 representatives, 100 senators, 1 president, and 9 supreme court justices) get together and do things that affects everyones day to day life, both in America, and around the world. It matters, and you should vote for what you see as the lesser of two evils, if that's the way you see it.
