i've mentioned this for several years now, and because of such impossible situations, as affording healthcare, i now have a blemish on my credit, that was good...until my daughter fell off a picnic table.

why doesn't the government care about it's poor americans, yet offer trillions of dollars to people overseas to see all their health needs are met...that's the biggest problem i have with today's administration...they spend too much care on foreign countries, and not enough, on their own.

is anything being done, can bush really continue to ignore this a problem in his america, or does he think, shuffling those who represent him, will really make an impact on his lack of, americanism?

last i heard, mrs. clinton has some sort of plan, at this point..i'd vote for her on that policy alone...and it's nice to know at least some people care about the americans who make less than politicians make in an hour.

locally for example, unless one is working a form of construction(that's seasonal and unpredictable), there's not much more available...the call center, pays nine dollars an hour, my husband is working there...as an assistant manager i get eight fifty...but with the cost of living, we meet our bills and are able to provide food for our family...but afford the luxury of medical?

...we work alternating shifts to side step childcare costs...why does medical care, for non disabled children have to be so unaffordable?

...honestly, my health is really insignificant when i have to pay fifteen dollars for each individual immunization for kindergarden and my credit goes bad because of a six thousand dollar medical bill...for my youngest daughter, being a kid.

quite a few, imports come in, amazed that they get paid only half of what they were in another, part of the nation for the same job...most end up returning from whence they came, because the pay rates around here suck...even our own town has put a cap on what out of state companies coming in can pay employees...to keep it fair to the smaller businesseses that can't pay...over seven dollars an hour.

been there, done that...healthcare is still, difficult to afford, especially when any savings have been spent in moving...so the family ends up broke, jobless, homeless and having to rely on the generosity of family members to stay off the streets...until a job is found, several thousands dollars for rent and deposit is saved up...and then furnishings...and now, with high gas prices?

you are right, i live the life i choose to, because i want to live, here...but why must government angencies encourage entire families to consistantly move, (following the jobs) to maintain an above poverty level of living...or, divorcing, living as single parents, succumbing to the ease of living on welfare?

why can't the government, afford...some sort of affordable health care system, allowing traditional families to raise their families, where their families were raised..safe and sound in hometowns, rather than making them choose between moving to crime ridden cities and overwhelmed education systems so they can afford healthcare or living off the system?

this is a major problem in our country. there is absoultly no incentive for you to work outside of your own personnel pride. if you make like 8 bucks an hour you cant get goverment assited healthcare but if you dont work you get healthcare food stamps a place to live ect ect. Its sad really people will say get a job but your actually poorer if you do.

At the rate healthcare is going up even people with "good jobs" might lose healthcare. currently it costs apprx $12,000.00 a year for family coverage in My area.

Just as a side note socialism doesnt always hurt non moochers I assume you have bought a loaf of bread or some other food lately, perhaps you turned on your computer. It might not be "true" socialism but there some similiarties.

heres an idea. Make the money, then move. Maybe if they laid off the expensive internet, and video games and some other entertainment stuff they could afford it. But since when have Americans ever given a shit these days about hard work and priorities? If I lose my job and have no money and lose my car and apartment I blame ME. there are a variety of options, they could pursue...in making health care affordable...a socialist government may not work for america, and all governments have their, issues; but what's wrong; that a government can not consider what all social classes, that make it a nation need?

Why should I have to pay for YOUR kids health care? I dont get to take them fishing and they dont send me cards, why should I have to pay anything? I am not sick... why should I pay 365 days of the year for sick people and never be sick myself?

...if i was to retire at sixty five, i would get, eight hundred dollars a month; but that money, isn't going to be around for me to use, it's taking care of those who have, and financial needs, now...that's how it's always been, and will always be...i have no problems with that, however!

it's my money, technically, i work hard for it and i'd rather have my money going to keep my children healthy...eight hundred dollars a month when i'm almost dead, but still able to work...or four hundred dollars a month now to take care of my chidren(that's how much a family insurance plan costs).

my pay check is consistantly taxed, averaging about one hundred dollars..., my husband is taxed almost one hundred fifty...that would be two hundred fifty dollars a month, but still not enough for a family health plan.

Do you have health insurance if you do you are already paying for everyone elses healthcare thats how it works. Sick people have hospital bill send claim to insurance company, insurance company raises primum you pay. To me its not about paying for it it would actually be cheaper if the goverment ran it. I think it would suck so I would rather keep it private.

Billy essentially we are a socialist nation already if the goverment didnt in effect set the prices for necassities (food and power) we wouldnt have the happy captilism of today. Big Brother may not set salaries and distrubute wealth but it controls the foundation.

Move out of America, in lots of countries, if you need healthcare (operations, medication etc), taxes pay for it. Maybe it's because we neglect our military expenses, but healthcare helps more people than wars do right?

My sister (born here) had hip problems from birth. If we had to pay, it would have cost well over $100,000 and no way would insurance cover that. New Zealand taxes paid for it all thank goodness. Maybe my parents moved across the world because they had an inkling that their last child would need to be a New Zealand born child???

The beauty of health insurance is that (unless you live in Massachussetts), its a VOLUNTARY program. Therefore, its completely different from state sponsored health care programs.

hence the question do you have health insurance if you answered no then the rest doesnt apply.
