Israel Tests Defense Against Potential Iranian Missile Attack

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) - The Israeli defense establishment carried out a successful test on Friday of its Arrow anti-missile system, which is intended to defend against incoming threats, including Iranian or Syrian attacks.

This was the ninth test of the system, which was developed jointly by Israel and the U.S., as well as the 14th test of its interception abilities, the Defense Ministry said.

Trembling because they have the capability to defend themselves against a missile attack? Probably not.

I'm surprised it took as long as it did. I realize Husseins scud attacks weren't particularly devastating, but they should have used the interim since Desert Storm and jumped all over that shit.

It won't surprise me in the slightest if the eventual end of Israel is becoming a big, radioactive, glassy crater in the Middle East though, especially if enough of their hateful neighbors develop a nuclear program.

It's sad, considering that when the Jews were still a people without a country, it was the Muslim nations where they found the most acceptance, while the "good Christian" European nations treated them with extreme prejudice, when they weren't expelled outright.

They'll take the rest of the middle-east with them. They have sub-launched nukes.

This would probably be best for the rest of the world.

Sadly, that might be the case (well, except for the fall-out and possibility of nuclear winter). The Middle East seems like its been a hotbed of war and antagonism ever since monotheism caught on...

Besides, if we're smart about it, we'd never miss the oil. Just switch everything over to bio-diesel. Then the American government wouldn't have to pay farmers not to grow crops, the air quality would improve, and agriculture would again be the backbone of society.

And we would not have NEARLY enough farmland to support it. Not to mention, the car lovers of the world would fucking riot.

Sure there would, if you utilize the technology available. We have the capability of making car engines that get 60mpg in the city, we just don't do it.

As for the car lovers, let 'em riot...so long as they do it in their own neighborhoods.

Where are you going to get the power to power the machines that will build your bio deisel engines? Where will you get the plastics?

Again, where are you going to get the power to activate the machines that can build hydrogen cells? Let alone the materials used to make it work? Watr is 1 component, but there is a lot of metals, plastics and nano technology all dependant on oil and oil based products that will need to be around to build them.

Do yourself a favor.Realize that there isnt an abundance, that shit will eventually exhaust and run out.

Then go buy a gun and learn to hunt and grow your own food. These are skills Ive been learning most of my life although not for this purpose. So I feel I have a minor head start than a lot of my friends which I intend to exploit should the need ever arise.
