'm for a national ID card, and I've never understood the paranoia of the people who are against it. We already have a national ID system, it's called Social Security, try to do anything without that number. We need a national photo ID to go with it so it could be used for security purposes which are a legitimate constitutional power of the gov't. A card like that, combined with simple enforcement of current immigration law would solve the illegal Mexican problem overnight.

and look at what's happening to that system...
they'll never solve the illegal mexican problem; and when they're sending thousands of dollars in untaxed money to mexico through bank of america, some states are even wanting to give them a drivers license, they've become to integral to our society.
...as for the national id, i'm not to sure about it really, the only time it makes any news around here is when it's trying to be enforced. It's hell getting a local driver's license now, will a national card really make things any easier or really put a crimp in illegal immigration especially when so many politicians seem to pander to them?
