I really wish something like this would make a difference.. however, I don't forsee enough people gathering to make a difference. Maybe the news will run an afternoon segment on the rally. But when it's over, Bush will still be in power ((help us all)), and the war will continue. It's sad, but true.

he knows his disapproval rating...but why should he care, he's got the world to destroy, america is just the fool who gave it to him...i wonder how much damage can be done in three years?

I don't know about that... If you remember back in march 2003, the biggest war protests ever happened. Plus I think a lot more people are fed up this time and even if it doesn't change the mind of that dunce in the White House, it could make a lot of other people stop and think. Truth to power baby!

I appreciate it, like Lord-IVD noted though; not everyone can afford to do that and not enough people probably will do it anyway. It's a shame because we could make a difference if we could get enough people to do something like this but that is highly unlikely.

This strike, and that's what it is, is clearly being pushed by the left. What if everybody joins in? Injured people who show up at vacant hospitals will just be SOL. What about the police? Or something more realistic, like what the USAir employees did on Christmas Eve? I hope everyone who joins in this stupid little walk out gets fired on the spot.

Are you referring to the Clinton "100,000 cops" program? In the original bill that funding was only temporary. It decreased every year after it started by design. Bush didn't cut it, he just didn't refund it because cops are supposed to be under locol control.

Although, I'd love to see his ass thrown out, it's not going to happen unless he screws something major.. I love the idea of making a stand and showing that we're all pissed. But I do see one point from Syn, the people who hold important jobs.. such as the doctors, nurses, police, pilots, etc... yes, they would make a great addition to the cause with their status, but would harm more people in the process.

I guess, as long as Bush doesn't start WWIII, I'm keeping my head low till next election where I'll be throwing a "No more Bush Party" ... you're all invited.
