The History Syllabus in England this year was Battle of Britain (effect on the public moral), Senator McCarthy, and Watergate - Two american subjects and One english. When I was younger and I do come from an Islamic background, I did question the Muslim religion and what I was taught at school. However, I did not get offended by what I was learning. It isn't like my parents ran around ranting how horrible Christians are. I didn't even have maniac teachers run around tell me how horrible Muslims were. I just learned about the history of actual events that happened. Yes, I was torn between my religion and what I heard. However, I had enough sense to find out resources and talk with people about it, instead of sitting in my chair torn by what I heard or saw.

I don't think ACTUAL EVENTS should be eliminated or disregarded. History is important. We need to know about it, so these things don't happen again. A person's religion shouldn't even come into account. People need to set aside their personal feelings and see the bigger picture.
