He did end up winning. Which apparently tipped the scales in favour of democrats in the Senate for the first time in 12 years. This should be interesting.

Everyone is ignoring the simple fact that, democratic or reublican, government is government, and very little is going to change, very little is going to get done, and it really doesnt matter who we elect because all of those rotten snakes look out for themselves first and the American people second.

Took the words right off of my fingers. People go back and forth over their favorite party while no action is taken on a meaningful scale to better our situation. Even I'm guilty of this; due to the fact that I disagree with the ideaology of the Iraq war, which has polarized everyone for and against it along party lines.
