I don't mind seeing diversity within office, personally, despite the fact that I've never been able to vote democrat given the candidates that the party always brings to bat.

It's not a sad day for America, the republicans got exactly what they deserved. If Bush and all the idiotic republican senators hadn't pushed their stupid amnesty plan for the illegal Mexicans, this wouldn't have happened. This was a republican loss more than it was a democrat win.

They lost the majority in the House, and I haven't checked to see if Virginia's results are official yet. If the Democratic candidate wins there, then the Democrats have control on the Senate as well. Last I heard, the democrat was ahead marginally in VA.

I have no problem voting for black politicians. I supported Harold Ford, Jr. for the Senate, and I'd vote for Ford if he ever ran for president. But Obama reminds me of a scary militant black Muslim.
