| does bush really care about america? -
03-21-04
i've heard people say that he's really in support of a stronger work force for americans, why than are good manufacturing jobs still being shipped overseas? and bush thinks it's a good thing? for whose country? Quote: |
after losing over 2.7 million manufacturing jobs over the last four years, all the Bush administration can say is that shipping jobs overseas is a 'positive development,"
| and then his...attempt at someone to regulate the jobs being shipped overseas, was a rich buddy, that himself had sent jobs overseas....
"Granholm noted that Bush had pledged to name a "manufacturing czar" to bring back jobs, but the businessman chosen for the task recently backed out after it emerged his company had expanded in China while laying off U.S. workers. "
if his interests were indeed in getting jobs for all the unemployed people in the states, why not develop a plan to bring back the jobs that left, and rather than wasting money "training" people...why not put it into legistlation that will help keep jobs here, rather than letting them go to foreign countries? http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...=615&ncid=2043 To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Bush is really just an idiot who spouts off the rhetoric Rove writes him.
Get him to speak when he isn't prepared, and this is evident. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

If you didn't realize that dealt with computers and other such things like that..as in what is manufactured.
After a while the amount of items being sold decreases due to the reliability of the items sold. This means that they'll show a steady decrease in the overall profits made, and have to lay off more workers to make up for the decrease in monetary gain.
On top of that as it states itself it's already starting to show a small sign of decrease(63.something to 61.something in a one month span). This means that if it keeps going like that all of those people hired will be dropped.
Plus a single industry increasing it's job amount in some place does not help the entire economy. I myself have yet to see any form of actual new jobs appearing in the rural areas at all. That is a major flaw in the economy. (\ /)

Not the best in 20.
Near the best.
And I'll thank the fact that all of the stuff broke down at the same time(as will happen), and as such everyone needed to repurchase items that'll last them for a while longer(except if the companies are bastards and design them to fall apart in a month). (\ /)

I still find it interesting that 1: more jobs have been lost than have been gained, 2: More people have entered the work force than have exited it (read, college graduates vs. retirees, etc.: college grads don't count on unemployment), and yet the right still says we're doing well . Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

How do you explain the fact that the BEA says that there are more people employed now that 3 years ago? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Because the BEA only looks at people receiving unemployment, and not everyone who is actually unemployed. (\ /)

The title of this thread is a little too loaded. People are very complicated. I am sure Bush cares about America, but he also cares about the companies that got him where he is today, and as such, he cares about them having cheaper labor. He may honestly believe that if these companies make more money, that in the long run, all America will be better off. I think one of the facts that most partisan debates miss is that neither side is actually evil (usually) and both want more or less the same thing, they just usually have drastically different ways of achieving their goals. Fucking your mother doesn't make me any less of a HOMO.

And some of us on the left truly believe Bush is a nitwit idiot. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."

Jobs lost is probably based on the total amount of jobs that have been actually lost, or rather people who have been fired/layed off, or job openings closed due to not being able to handle that many jobs. (\ /)

No, I just assumed you agreed with that number as you appeared to be backing Jordyn's post, and you disagre
