So. It is official. Hillary is running. With only a black man and a hispanic man to run against on the dem side she is sure to be the Democratic candidate. With all the fallout over the republicans/ I am one and very unhappy with how things have gone/ she has a damn good chance of securing the first women presidency.

Frankly, I'm disgusted. She irritates me, and I don't think she has the military capability to carry-out the Iraqi situation. Be it exit or continue the fight. She has what kind of military experience? It's my opinion we don't need a diplomat right now; we need a leader. She's not that leader.

I have a feeling many women will vote for her simply because she's a woman. If it comes down to her and a sub-par Republican candidate, I simply won't vote.

Irregardless she will not have the time to screw the major pooch on any immediate front. Whatshe can do, and it is the only thing of worth really, is listen to her military advisers. She does listen and acts upon that knowledge. The War needs fresh ideas and the republicans need at least four years to bring a good candidate into the forefront. Right now they have shit. The Dems will take the house this election and if I have to choose between a black president and a woman president I will choose and vote for the woman. maybe after four years of Dems the Reps will have a good candidate.

I don't understand why there is so much emphasis on "black man" and "white woman"? I think they both have had enough education and experiences that they have risen above the general stereotypes about black men and white women.

Its a liberal thing. I remember when all the liberals thought it was time for the Vatican to elect a black pope, even though theres not many Catholics in Africa. They want to be a part of this "1st black this" or 1st owman that thing.

If I vote for a third party candidate that has no chance of winning simply because I don't like the other two candidates, it is a wasted vote.

not voting and voting 3rd party ARE wasted votes as they dont count, they both do the same thing however. Send a message to your usual party. For example if they run McCain I will be forced into not voting, or if guilt gets me a 3rd party. That tells the Republicans that I am angry with them.

They're both wasted votes. I absolutely refuse to vote for a candidate I don't believe in. That's not exercising my voice; that's voting for the sake of voting. I'd rather just not vote at all if I'm not behind a candidate at least 85%.

If you don't like the major party candidates, leave the choice for president blank, but vote for everything else. I've done that twice when I hated all the candidates for governor of Ohio. They know I care, they know I was there, and they know I think they all suck. I might be doing that for the presidential election in 08.

I'll be voting in the republican primary for Tom Tancredo if he runs. He formed his exploratory comittee, but hasn't made the formal announcement. If Tom doesn't run, I'll vote for Duncan Hunter. I hate all the big names in the republican party right now.

Obama has a serious chance at beating Hillary if he doesn't have any dirt for her to dig up on him. Unless it's all a show to set him up for her VP.
