In defense of the police.. he ran from them.. He should have stopped.

They had him arrested. They were sitting on him.. and they still killed him. I'm assuming that they saw a brown dude running and decided to kill him. Blair says he is proud of the police. Niiice.

Blair is an idiot. proud of the police for killing an innocent man after he was arrested? the man was pinned down. he obviously wasnt going anywhere. and certainly wasnt a threat of any sort in that position.

I think it was suspected he was a suicide bomber, in which case you either kill them or they blow you up.

I am proud of the police and how quickly they've investigated the attacks and how much more of a police prescence there is now. I travelled through Kings Cross last Tuesday night and no-one was nervous, everyone was getting on with life. There is even a constant police prescence at my local station.

To be honest, if you have nothing to hide why the hell are you running from the police? Even if you do have something to hide, we don't have corpporal punishment over here and there are worse things than prison. There are rumours he was a drug dealer or similar, who knows.
Unfortunately when dealing with suspected suicide bombers the orders are 'shoot to kill'. It's terrible that a possibly innocent man died, but police don't often shoot someone for no reason whatsoever.

I'm not particularly proud of our PM recently, but our government thus far is handling these terrorist attacks way better than the US administration handled theirs, for which I am incredibly thankful.

The way that I heard it was that he was seen to have some kind of explosives attached to him, then boarded a train. The police warned him to stop, and he didn't, so they killed him.

It's is very very rare that police shoot anybody in the UK, most police don't have guns, they still carry truncheons, so they must have been dead certain he was a terrorist.

Having said that, I'm not sure how much is being covered up here, there are so many Muslims afraid for their lives now becuase of the colour of their skin. This whole thing is totally screwed up.

Members of their own religion, their own communities, brought this upon the whole Muslim population. These extremists don't see that what they're doing is ruining the lives of their families and friends, the very people, the very religion I assume they are fighting for...

It wasn't the first attacks which did this, it was the second. The second suggested a wider network of extremists, and then the imagination goes ad finitum.

I do have sympathy with the family of the dead man, but why did he run? With the state of country today, with anyone just rolling into our country and with the use freedom of speech used to take the piss out of our nation...

Call me an asshole, but when you go to work for the government each day not knowing if you are going to be spend the afternoon outside while they sweep your office for bombs again or going to be scooped up into a little bag for forensics to check, I say shoot anybody that looks like they are out to destroy this nation.

Ok.. in my opinion... they should strictly monitor the moooslim communities in england. A lot of shit has moved from 3rd world countries to England. People like that dude with the hook for a hand (i'm not kidding.. i don't remember his name) ..

No bull shit allowed.. they need to get VERY tough on any assholes who are caught preaching intolerance and crap.

Also the authorities must be VERY careful so that no one has any excuse to even think that any bombings are justified. A death of a single innocent is murder.. no matter who does it.. and where its done.

From all the information we have so far it seems that a brazilian dude was murdered. and yes.. he got him self killed by running. so everyone reading.. if the cops want to question you.. don't run.

now this dudes kids and family (if he had any) are hating the police. sad it happened but it did.

Panicky police officers and the possibity of an easily detonated bomb . . . Chances are, if he had had the time to run, he would have detonated the bomb if he had been wearing one.

Tragic.

But, the lives of the few outwiegh the lives of the many. The officers acted accordingly and with resolute force, I applaud them for their swift action. It's the intelligence that's at fault here as the guy and his property were under observation from the previous evening.

He had a perfect understanding of english. He worked here and had resided here for three years. I'm sure that in the time he'd been here he'd could understand the words "ARMED POLICE, STOP."
