Oil companies are run by people who are going to be on the job maybe 2-3 years. The initial cost of implementing any new technologies would not be likely to be made up before their retirement, so could only hurt their end payment. In the meantime, they have scientists who are paid to make statements like, "That's silly, of course if that was viable we would be doing it".

Large companies are designed to keep on doing what they're already doing. They're horrible at implementing change. Any large institution is. Your faith is misplaced.

Hey heres a crazy question how come Libs like Bill Gates and George Soros dont invest in new technology to get rid of oil for automobiles? Yeah, Im a smoker, and I loved it. It did delve into the manipulation by the tobacco industry, but mainly focused heavy on Personal Choice. I think you would definitely like it.

Billy, I think you are being naive about corporations intentions... DM, I think you are being too dan-brownesque.

I think its a mixture of both of these things, its not that I think that the "evil corporations" have the technology to produce clean energy and they are hiding it in their evil-basement-cubby. But I do believe the it is not in the corporations interest to invest money in it, when it would most likely take many years to develop and test and billions on top of billions of dollars invested before a single dollar of profit is made.

Bill Gates is a first class nut job, hippy douche is way too kind as it implies that he my be human. But I do believe it was one of he other Microsoft douches or the gates foundation (the douche foundation) that offered to pay for the solar farm that Excel shot down, I missed the court hearing that day, but I can check with some people I know that went. A corperation is legally mandated that it’s purpose is to make profit for it’s share holders, any action that is not profitable to the share holders is grounds for a law suite in support of the share holders, see Dodge vs. Ford.

Solar energy fields are not something worth investing in because it really just makes large tracts of land utterly useless. Which is probably why there is no investment future in it. Why dont thes eliberal hippy douches fund the magical secret technology thats supposed to solve everything instead of focusing on impractical, expensive shitty alternatives that cost more than they produce?

I know the hippy liberal douches want to force all cars to run on all ethenol, which will be funny since it will consume the worlds corn crop. Then we will have to deforest more of south america which will drive a wedge between the moron greens.

I think you're confusing what I said with what the flaming retard tried to portray me as saying because actually confronting an issue as it exists logically would destroy the thimble-sized lump of muscle in his skull.

I don't believe the corporate executives are part of a conspiracy or that they're inherently more evil than everyday, poor people. All human beings are pretty evil and self-interested to begin with. I'm just aware of the pragmatic reasons why large oil companies aren't jumping on alternative fuel sources or oil-refining techniques.

Well, Vlaams Belang is a fascist party. If one has the capacity to think, I don't see many options as to what one should think of them. Especially considering that they're not nearly as stylish as the NSDAP.

First of all, while I didn't say it directly, I think I implied that it was not in their best interest in the short term sense. I believe that it is in their interest long term, and I don't think private corporations should be "expected" to do a goddamn thing. I think that it is the responsibility of the federal government to fund and run this. Perhaps a little lobbying reform could resolve this issue, perhaps not.

The way he describes it, Belgium doesn't exist. It is merely a social construct. There's Flanders, and this other trailer trash part of Belgium. He wants Flanders to re-unite with The Netherlands, and then expel all the muslims.

He's also a Catholic. After the Netherlandic kingdom is re-established, he wants the Catholic Church to launch another crusade to capture Israel, which is the rightful property of the Church, and kill or convert at swordpoint all the muslims. He doesn't have anything against the jews.

It sounds like a good plan to me. Too bad it will never happen.
