Obtaining an IP from AOL - 11-19-02

Does anyone have a clue how to obtain the IP address of a sender on AOL? I have a couple of rough ideas on how to do it, but I want to get some second opinions and see if there's anything easier...

Use the tool called netstat and just try to send him or the opposite...
