Ok so yeah I got a new comp cause the last one died...

I took all I could out of, ya know disk drives and my hard drive.

My question is...

The hard drive comes up and shit and I want to get all my crap that was on it in the last comp I had...the prob is that some stuff does turn up but I can't get to it, the more valuable stuff. I want some of my pix and files and stuff...Is there away I can get to it? Cause I like to get it all back.

I can give more info and stuff if needed, this is just my opener.

what filesytem is it(fat 16-->window 95 osr1 and older,fat 32 windows 9X/me ie windows 95osr2 and older,NTFS winnt3.51-4.0/2000/xp/2003 server,ext2/ext3/rieserfs/xfs/jfs/minix-linux or ufs form freebsd or solaris

3rd how many time has it been formated

4th has this drive endured any kind of shock

5th what order does this drive apear ide0,ide1... or scsi1,scsi2...

Ok my comp know how is a bit trying at times but from my in's and out's I believe its a newer HDD, its a seagate, 40 giger...Only formated 1 MAYBE tweice if that. I got it new. Its got XP or did anyway for an OS and is was NTFS when it was in my last comp. No shock (Lernt from my last HDD not to punch in and head crash it) So this one was babied. It in this new comp I think is ide1 or scis2...its not the master or anything and I haven't started to save any thing new to the drive. Its fresh plucked from my other comp...I'm online now with it and I used some freebie online program just a sec a go, it still has all my old crap on it...just can't view it...it don't come up when I search or look in it at all, but when I right click and check the properties it says its got files and crap....I just can't get to it...I need to get to it but it wont let me...I know stuffs there but errrrrrr.......

So whats the verdict doc?

add and delete alot of files?
does it make wierd noises

Yeah it wasn't so bad.

But just for the record, it don't make weird noises. Only that one time and that was cause the case was vibrating my wine bottles that sit on top of my tower.

I do however thank you for at least giving me attention. Sometimes people onlt need confidance to do something, and i can say you helpped me there. I crossed checked all my stats that I told you before and it lead to my fixing my prob.
