When I start up, the monitor light is dark, if that makes sense. Sort of like a tv when the video cable is loose or not plugged in all the way. But all the cables are in, secure and fine. Sometimes, after about half an hour or so, it flickers and comes back to normal, with subtle flickering every now and then.

Have you tried playing with the cables to see if it gets a picture up quicker? How old is the monitor,

I've played, unplugged, replugged. It's been doing it for a couple of months now. It's about two years old.

hmm, the other options I can think of if your able to try it on another PC to see if it does the same thing, or try another monitor on your PC if your able to. By the sounds of it though it might be that there is something wrong with your monitor and i would highly recommend that you DO NOT try to fix it yourself.

I'll try it on my bro's comp within the next few days, and see what happens.

I would consider buying a new one if I were you, monitors are seprate machines and basically has no set of drivers, at first I would have blamed your grqaphics card (assuminbg your not using on-board) and told you to replace iot but as its done the same thing on another computer I would recommend buying a new monitor. At this time if it yhas a 3 year warrenty or one that is still in use its worth redeeming it now

you could try to get it fixed, but it might cost you enough that you could have bought another one. Take a look at you options with buying another one and see what you can find. you might be able to upgrade to a better one
