Mmh, I haven't done any fasion-mods -yet- (waiting for a liq. cooling system to add a touch of fluorescance and a blacklight... then I'll add a window). But both my main cases have an extra hole in the side of the case. Extra cooling...

I did mod an UPS a while ago 'tough. Tore out the old batteries, which were dead and too small imho, and replaced em with 2 car batteries. It boosted the capacity of the damn thing by 250%...

sounds cool, hope you post some pics when your done. Oh, and that must be one monster UPS, haha.

here is my case, not modded much on the outside, its a Lian Li PC35 running a P41.8 @ 35 degrees using Zalman coolers which i strategically placed within the case. There are 5 fans in total, and she's the quietest PC i have ever owned.

Heh. My quietest is my 486 router. The noisiest object therein is the harddrive (which I am going to replace by a less noisy one).
The only fan in that system is a PSU fan which I've set to 5V blowing inwards. Works like a charm...

My other comps are kinda noisy. I'll post UPS pics once the forum they are on already is back online.

http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/...essages/543986 <- there they are.

Saved me a couple o' times already. Sustains my main system for a max of 2 hours (monitor and system). If I switch the main off, I can power the router for almost a whole day.

Thats pretty cool. I have a small back ups, but only will give me enough time to save my work and shut down in case of power failure. However, it does protect me from surges and spikes, which is really why i wanted it in the first place. It will run monitor and pc for about 10 mins after power failure.
