Gaia impaled on their horns and their lances
the fumes from her body give chase
As the strong of blind men savour the scent,
dream dead from prosaic and hate

Vanities in extreme formations
ride into tommorrows rigid great face

Turning off the Windows swapfile is a bad idea, it causes the Windows memory management subsystem to act up a bit. You can however reduce it's size to say, 64 MB... And with a few tweaks force Windows to keep often used things in memory. Even with my 1024 MB of memory I still have a fairsized swap, 'cause Windows likes to stuff some things there.
... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...
select the advanced tab, and there you select performance options.
you see a page file size, ..click change...and well select the min and max..select the drive..and click set
and your page file is set in win xp
can't remeber how i did it for win98, will look that up for you.
about the size there are no real standard for the size it kinda depends on your internal memory
most of the times i just double mine... so if i hav 512 int i make the page file 1024..
hope i have been helpful kinda. and maybe yeah...thhis should be a new thread.....
