uh....yeah.....
just, my advice to you is split your hard-drive right now (if you hadn't already) and save anything you absolutely want to keep on your D-drive....especially .exe's so you don't have to go searchin' for 'em again.....that is, if you've saved 'em....
but yeah, just save everything in your D-drive so that when you install XP from the disk, it'll completely re-do your C-drive.....
and then you just gotta follow the instructions and such and get all the updates for it and yaddah, yaddah, yaddah....
should take a couple of hours.....
only word of caution....i hope you didn't get to comfortable with WordPerfect (as i did) because XP has MicrosoftWord......
but yeah.....you're gonna need a disk.....i don't know if you can go to a link and do it.....you'll need to go get an XP disk (usually, some libraries will have 'em, especially college libraries) and if you're smart, you'll burn a copy and write down the key-code.....that way, if you get hit with a virus in the future, and it fucks you up, you can just re-install it again (as i had to do).....
but make sure you split your hard-drive now (if you haven't already, or if it isn't already) and save everything you absolutely want to keep (like music files, movies, anything you have written, any personal info, etc., and any .exe's you might have) onto your D-drive so that way you don't lose it all when you install XP onto your C-drive I was masturbating
