Anyone use an Actiontek GT701-wg DSL modem?

I do, and after multiple nmap scans and internet searches,
I could find nothing of the kernel.

Until I called Actiontek toll free support,
and I spoke with one of the people working,
I asked them what the kernel was, they said
they couldn't give out that information!

So, I called Qwests toll free support,
(1-800-247-7285), and I told them that I was getting a message
about a kernel error everytime I tried to conect to the modem
via HTTP......

I played stupid for a while, asked what a kernel was,
and eventually the gentalmen said that it was a bare Linux Kernel,
version 2.6.3!


I think that's interesting, the Qwest workstations are mostly Linux Boxes,
the modem is running a Linux Kernel, but they don't offer support for linux setup!
(which is extremely easy with DSL, you just need a working ethernet card and
the DNS numbers...)

So yeah, this isn't a hacking script, but it's rather just some interesting information.
