Okay, in the Christmas addition Wired claimed the The X Box was better than Playstation 2. Looking over everything it looked like Playstation had more compatibility and games yet X Box won. Does it seem like Nintendo has just gotten a bad wrap and now no one will buy their equipment no matter how good it is?

I have a PS2 and I didn't really even consider buying an XBox, I think Sony had the right idea...release a console thats better then the one before it yet make it capable of playing the games of the previous one...(The PS2 can play PSONE games)....thus there is no need to have to fork out shit loads of money on brand new games straight away when you have just spent nearly £200 on the console and memory card to start with, if you owned a PSONE to start with. This for me and the fact I practically worshipped my PSONE and figured things from Sony could only get better helped me decided where my hard earned cash was going. The games for the PS2 are great, I cannot compare to the XBox as I haven't played on one, but some of my mates say the games aren't as well designed despite Microsofts claim to awsome graphical capabilities.

In short I am a huge Sony fan, I guess I am biased....but hey I haven't actually slated the XBox... I just know a few people who have.

Nintendo has the GameCube, not the PS2...

And as for that XBox, it remains a weak system. I hear that from everyone. I personally do not intend to buy -any- console, since my personal computer allows me to do all the games I want.

As for ownership... PS2 in numbers beats XBox. Even when the XBox is heavily subsidized by M$FT.

Also judging from the games that are released on different consoles its needless to say that PS2 has the most support from all the companies.

Buying the X Box helps out struggling companies.



It's a nice thing to do. Who cares about all that compatibility and conection resources? What would you do with it anyway? I don't link to the net often anyway. Multi-player is a thing of the past. Foul language and graphics is all I'll ever need.

I personally have an X-Box. You DON'T need memory cards since it has built in storage capacity of like 1000 PS1 memory cards. It plays ANY DVD, not just the specially marked ones. Most optional items are lower in cost. It appears(to me) to run cooler than the PS2.

But I will say that the PS2 does play all the older(PS1) games.

I happen to like the X-box more for all the above positive reasons. Despite the fact that the controller is huge I still like it more than the PS-type. The PS-type controller is annoying, flimsy, wears out easily and is in a shape I could care less for. Xbox and PS2 are basically sharing games, minus squaresoft, these days anyway so I'm going with the Box

If memory cards is not your thing, there is a hard drive for PS2 out there. PS2 cost's less than XBOX. PS2 can play DivX and Super Video Cd's with a little help. PS2 never had any problem with DVD movies.

The XBOX controller sucks ass because your hands gets tired easily and is not as durable as PS2's one and there is proof to claim this. XBOX has less games than PS2. XBOX has the least support from Gaming companies than Sony and Nintendo.

hmmm... last i checked the X-Box was 199.99 and the PS2 was 199.99... seems no difference in price.... it is the Nintendo GameCube that is 149.99.... of course Nintendos will not play anything but its own CDs....

Personally I would dump that money into my computer and upgrade some stuff rather than going out and wasting it on something that will never have the capabilities of my computer.....

For those of you who are pissed off with the x box controller there is an adapter to use a PSX controller on the Xbox.

It's difficult to find as Microsoft do not approve but it does exist
