..having problems with Hotmail and MSN?

I can't sign into either one. I can get to the main Hotmail page, but once I put in my email and password, I get the 'page cannot be displayed' error.

MSN is just bastardish and gave me the 'service could not be found, make sure you're connected to the internet' message. I -know- I'm connected to the internet, so I dunno what's wrong with msn. Stupid me thought that maybe it was just msn being retarded, so I figured that I'd uninstall msn messenger, re-download it, and see if that fixed anything. It must be my lucky day, because instead of being nice and letting me re-install msn, the site gives me the 'page cannot be displayed' error. I get the same error when I try to go to the microsoft website.

MSN is the devil!...I refuse to use it...I have never had a Hotmail account for that matter. I'm weird huh?

Oh thank god it's not just me! I'm having the exact same problem. I thought it was something to do with my anti-virus software cos it ran out, but I re-installed the thing, and MSN still doesn't work. However, I can get my e-mail through MSN at work, but not at home.

Ideas anyone?

Microsoft is doing something major on their servers, thats for sure.

I do but I don't mind at all, I am used to their strategy. After their done, something good will come eventually.

I like hotmail, used it since 1996 with little problems (other than insane amounts of spam).

yeah, its called being attacked. People do it to them all the time, its Microsoft.

Apparently MSN and Gatesville were down for a bit.. i have MSN as my homepage and it wouldn't load..

ive had a lot of problems w/ my msn where i can't login and i get a ridiculous amt of spam. i'm pretty much giving up on that acct.

microsoft not being attacked...its like saying that the russians aren't planning a secret attack on the usa, or that gas is at a reasonable price....hell, i plan to attack microsoft myself!!

I never said that they dont care about the attacks on them, its just that they can handle them much easier than back in the days.

That is true, although the attacks still have brought them down for many hours at a time in more recent years.

Have you actually considered trying a different browser to access those pages? Sometimes IE can suck majorly. Try Firefox or Opera. Also, I've heared something about MSN carrying a virus or something? I don't know what the deal with that is.Just a rumour so far.
