Top hundred albums bullshit. They said the number one album of all time was Revolver by Beatles. Fuck no. FUCK. NO. Half the songs on that list were better than that single album. The Doors for crying out loud. The Doors were beaten by that shit. Not even one of the Beatles really good albums. And Dark Side of the Moon, like forty places behind. Fuck, Dark Side and the Doors were behidn Lauren Hill. Argh. And no Credence in the entire list. Mother fuckers. After the insult of placing Rolling Stones as the 67th best hard rock band, they have earned a painful death. Anyone planning on heading down to VH1 headquarters with me? I'll bring the napalm.

And of the five soundtracks they had, they didn't even include the best soundtrack of all time! Not anywhere! Out of a hundred! Does anyone else feel my rage?

you have to realize, and i learned this from my statistics class, that only a certain population was sampled for this survey so its NOT a clear representation of the TRUE top 100 albums of all time. the best way to do that would probably be a mass-internet survey since that is the best way to GET a randon population sampling.

what i'm saying is only a certain number of the population were sampled. in VH1's case, it was most likely a random sample of top record executives, artists, producers, promoters and other affiliates in the music industry. maybe a few listeners but not a HUGE percentage.

personally, in this case, i feel MUSIC is MADE for the listener so only listeners should have been polled. a web poll over several websites would have been ideal.

i mean, how can you say Lauryn Hill's record was better than Frampton Comes Alive! for example..... i hate both records but obviously, we know where the talent lies..

The Rolling Stones had some albums on the list, Vh1 did a decent job of portraying them, they put Sticky Fingers at #12 so I wouldn't complain if it was that alone. My beef about the Rolling Stones was on the Hard Rock list where they placed 67th, behind such fetid crap as Hole and Jethro Tull. But Revolver doesn't honestly merit as one of the top twenty albums of all time, much less the #1. How it beat the Doors album by thirty or so spots is behind me. There's too much goddam nostolgia around the Beatles, they had like three albums in the top ten. The best soundtrack I was referring to was the Lost Boys soundtrack, in my opinion the best of the 80's soundtracks.

I must say...I too did not like the list. But I wasn't angry
just a bit confused..on why some of the songs were in places they didn't seem to belong.
You must think at least "you" know which # and order the songs should have been in. What I am trying to say is that...to them "VH1" people the songs were in the correct order or form...while to us many millions of people, the order was within our own opinions.
