I'm pretty new here as you can see from the post count, but I wanted to get a feel for this forum.

So here's a quick rundown on myself...
I'm a freshman Music Recording Technology Major.
I've played the trumpet since 4th grade.
This will be my third year of playing the guitar.
I began piano instruction here at school in the fall.
I sing for my own enjoyment all the time.


So what does everyone else play?

I play a lot of things: Listed in order of my favorites:

Piano/Keyboards - probably my favorite.
Tenor Sax - I just love the sound. Jazz Band soloist.
Baritone Sax - Ditto, just not quite as cool as Tenor.
Alto Sax - Its a sax. Its cool.
Random Percussion - Just fun.
Baritone - Ditto.
Tuba - Wasn't my decision, but I can play it.
Marimba/Vibes - Just kinda goes w/ the territory of Piano
Soprano Sax - Just don't like it, but I can play it.
Clairinet - Only till I had the opportunity to play the sax.

I can also sing reasonilby well.

I've been writing this amazing (so modest) concert piece in Finale 2002 (I lucked into a copy of it). I can't wait until its done. I'm also in a garage band, and we're working on a new style of music.

I'm just a High School Sophmore, but the way. I think I'd like to do something with music for a living.

I play a little bit of geetar.

I play an assload of drums.
I used to play piano.
I screw around with synths a lot. I write electronic shit.

Been playing drums for almost 3 years now. Screwing around with my band, we're switching instruments for awhile and we're going to make a few songs, so I'll be on guitar for awhile.

I've been playing guitar for about 9 years now.
I also have experiance with syths and keyboards.

Been in bands for around 16 Yrs mostly punk, thrash/death metal.

hmm...

I play the guitar, a bit on a piano, and I used to play the drums. In high school I played many random percussion instruments: vibraphone, xylaphone, other assorted phone, and the bells (not actual bells, it's just called that). And I have sung for the majority of my life... I think that's about it... oh, I can play the flute (not that kind of flute) but I wouldn't do it with anybody else in the room hehe... and i was forced to play taps on a trumpet once for a large group of people.... ick.

I would really like to learn to play the bass...

I'm sure I'd posted here before......

Oh well - I've played bass for 13 years in about 6/7 different bands from cheesey covers to funk/jazz to indie and of course goth and metal.

Also played 6 string in a coupla bands and at present helping out a buddies band by playing keyboards, samplers and some backing vocals.

But I'm a bassist by trade - my usual gear is 2 x Trace Elliott combos (1x15 and a 4x12), Yamaha Attitude Ltd (now 10yrs old), ArtSound rackmount effects and a Yamaha RBX 550m with DiMarzio P retrofitted to match the Attitude.

I play my vocal cords.....I prefer to play them in the LOW ranges if you get my drift. I've been playing with my vocal cords for as long as I can remember. I do a little piano which I will learn more soon as I'm going to be a Choir Director (getting doctorate in music ed.) and I can drum a bit

i also play vocals.....like deep vocals not like that pop shit boy band vocals....i can take my vocals really low....

I've been playing the violin for around 3 years, and I know a few things on the piano, and I attempt to sing at times.

so I guess I'm the only one who likes to play the tuba. Been playing for 6 years now, I go to music (band) camp every summer... ( no comments please )I have been offered many many scholorships for the damn thing, and it's my life and passion. I can also play the french horn a bit, baritone and trombone (not very well). I can sorta play the recorder, and I like to twang my vocal cords now and then. I am very jealous of those who can play many instruments like my boyfriend, his list is almost as long as yours finalword. So yeah, tuba tuba tuba...

Played trumpet since 6th grade. Going to be in band this semester.

I can somewhat play guitar.. I know the chords and shit.. I just suck at it (small fingers)
