For me it would have to be The Offspring-Gone Away. I wouldn't say it influenced me in a good way at all. It actually forced me to try and commit suicide. All in all, its an awesome song.

Tough one... I would probably say "Laguna Sunrise" by Black Sabbath. During a particularly bad time, I recorded an entire cassete with that song, over and over...and listened to it for days and days...it kept me going. Beautiful tune.
Oh, and hey there Pretty Lady, Vampy... "...Lord, bring on the night. Wrap it all around me. Let it hold me tight. Soak up all that I bleed..." -Savatage- "Why don't you go practice falling down, I'll be there in a minute." -Joe Dirt "Meat's meat, and a man's gotta eat." - Farmer VIncent **WildAngelofEve is my guardian angel
**Jordyn saved my life
**Vamptress is my beautiful sculptress.
**DedMetlBitch666!!! Damn! 'Nuff said...
**CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
**The DarkRain is so soothing to my soul...

Ah, I basically did the same thing with that song, but it didn't have such a great outcome.

That's a really tough question. My top nominees:
"Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode
"Creep" by Radiohead
"A Warm Place" by NIN (long story)

probably 'War Pigs', along with the rest of the 'Paranoid' album. I can remember listening to it when I was 6.

Rod Dugan - Clubbed to Death. Yup. I want to live in a world of peace

Hmmm...
I'd say Demon of the Fall by Opeth becuase it's the song that I finally got really comfortable performing infront of people with.
Either that or Blue Oyster cult's 'don't fear the reaper' becuase it was the first rock i'd ever listened to, I was like 4. After that my brother got me into Sabbath, RATM (back in 92-93 when they were still really really new), SNoop Dogg (please don't shoot me), and from there my interests went into manson, and I was really into him and he mentioned Ministry in his book, so i went and got some ministry, that's when I discovered Skinny Puppy and KMFDM. Of course I was gathering in other stuff at the time, like Fear Factory, The Cure, Neurosis, Nevermore, but it all kinda started with the Cult..and Sabbath I suppose. hmmm...
NIN - Closer... i know its trite and cliche, but when i first heard it i was shocked and appalled... but then i listened to the lyrics and found very interesting conotations and inferances to life, love, self-actualization... so many issues.
i dont listen to the downward spiral much... perhaps once a month. ive moved on to The Fragile and use its love and sadness to explore my exisential dilemmas... ___Nick_the_Rogue___ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

and as I nudge this gently back to the toppic seeming as how i liked the original one...
The song that's influenced me most would probably be "That day" by poe. It made me realize i shouldn't always listen to other people.
(and Vudu Doll there was a thread about Linkin Park that you could drag up somewhere around here if you like it's prolly on the 2-4 page by now)

"hurt" by NIN. During a rough period I sat with my acoustic and sang/strummed that song for about an hour a night. Soothing.
