You should be feeling my ire. Ire is a strange word. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. Stupid English. We're the only fucking country that uses the English language. They don't even use it anymore.
Wait, not language, system.
England= most useless civilization of all time. Closely followed by the Romans. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. I had a long essay written about why the English are a useless race and a blight upon the Earth, but my computer wasn't working at the time for some reason. I refuse to do the same job twice so I can't rewrite it. Suffice it to say that I'm right and you're wrong. When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. Did we stop making fun of Vlad because he doesn't like commercial music? I happen to agree with him, commercial music generally sucks, but since I chose my words carefully I didn't get pounced on by the Horray for Everything gang.

Uhhh, there's a diffrence between not liking commercial manufactured music, such as Destiny's Child or N'Sync or Britney Spears, and saying that any music with any degree of popularity is bad. I am pretty sure he never said that. It was only from your "so you're saying" or "so in other words" that statement was ever made. If you can show me where he said that, I apologize, but I think you pounced on him and then bent anything he said to an easily debatable argument. When he says commercial music sucks and it is manufactured, would it make it all better if he threw a "most" in there? With the most, I agree with him, more or less.

Well babe, I am sorry you are wrong. Ok for instance look at Fatboy slim. It was not designed to be popular but it became that way because they were so good. And do you call Pink Floyd comercial music or The doors or even NIN? I really dont think you will say yes. I am sorry if I have offended you or made you mad at me. I like to keep our peace and harmony. LOL

| You know, in the past (60's to 80's) good music was successful...what was considered 'POP' then, mighty bands like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Yes etc. now is considered classic...But the musical tastes of the public have evolved...downwards...now the public doesn't want complex, technical hard or heavy or technical music...today the public likes beats...no melody, no technique...no musicianship...now most of the commercial music is generated by computers...no guitars, drums and bass. There is good rock & metal music currently (I am not talking about extreme metal, I am talking about Metallica stule), but the public doesn't care anymore not because it isn't good, but because it isn't 'trendy'. Hey, pay a visit to http://www.metal-rules.com and I'll be justified...
Anyway, believe me mistress, I listen to music since I was 10 years old. Without meaning to play the ass-hole, I know a few things...
You did not offend me, it is always interesting to read an argument, a different opinion.
Respect

The masses that don't know about music want to listen all the time to cheesy love songs...If you put them something of more quality like Nevermore's Dreaming Neon Black, which is melodic with though-provoking lyrics they'll say 'Too depressing'...well that's all, fuck pop music...it is the scourge of the musical industry led by white-collar cock suckers that don't know how a guitar looks like...
For those that don't agree, go listen to your latest Madonna or Britney Spears or Boyzone or Slipknot or whatever shit just don't try to come above us that are underground. In these statements and the ones preceding them, "Vlad" states:
1) Only a single person supposedly liked non-commercial music, thus indicating that the rest of us must, via the law of exclusion, listen to commercial music.
2) He then proceeds to state that commercial music is "designed for the masses" and "made to be popular", also saying that I myself listen to commercial music. He furthermore says that any band since the 60's-70's that is popular attains their status through making simple songs for the blind sheep that must be everyone except him and his friends.
4) He then encourages people such as myself to keep listening to our commercialized music (because after all, if we don't the bands he likes might become popular, and that would be a friggin nightmare for the poor musicians), but says that we know his music is better.
In all these ways and a lot more I'm too tired to point out, he tried explaining in a hundred diffrent ways why his music was too good for the rest of us and how we listen to crap and we're tools while he's wicked underground.
Frankly this whole scene reminds me of a clip from JTHM:
"Why am I condemned to suffer the stupidity of those whose musical taste differs from my own??!" When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed. No such thing now exists; but I hope it will exist. But it must be hundreds of years after you and I shall write and speak no more.

Why couldn't you paste specific lines of his that make your point? Do you enjoy paraphrasing people? This is one of those times a simple "most" would have saved him from any debate, I think.

First of all, he obviously didn't mean "most". I think he made it pretty clear that he thought anything that wasn't Wicked Underground sucked. Secondly, "Do I enjoy paraphrasing people?", No, but you asked specifically for statements of his that said he thought popular music sucked, and asked me to show you where he said that. So I did. Is there some sort of problem with that? When people talk of the freedom of writing, speaking or thinking I cannot choose but laugh. No such thing ever existed.
