I've liked U2 for a while now but never this much. I've just got their latest album (Yeah, I know I'm a bit late!) and a video of one of their tours and now I'm completely obsessed! Bono's voice is absolutly amazing, the power of it is awesome (To use the popular American word.....you get the picture!!!!)

i'm not a real big fan of u2. i think they're great musicians, but every song that they've released in the past 6 or 7 years seems to be the same basic reworked song. what you you do if they decided to hang up their hats and call it quits?

I agree with Arsi on this one. They are so talented, but nothing compares to thier 80's music. Now they are trying too hard to keep up with the modern "pop" craze while trying to sustain their rock image. If they were still making music like they did 15-20 years ago they would be one of if not my favorite band. But the fact that they aren't the same U2 I learned to love has changed my opinion on them.

dark we are going to be great friends...U2 is my favorite band..im a bit obsessed myself..*lamo* i have a print from a newyork art gallery of bono..and am hoping to get the other 2 or3 that there are..i got to see them live on thier pop tour..not thier best album..but still an awesome show live..which is what they are..they are a live band..not a studio band..their stuff is better live than on cd...i am wanting to get started in the bootleg bit of thier stuff..but have yet to get a hold of anything..*lol*
thier music is just awesome..it has been a life saver for me on more than one occasion..and the fact that they are very political just tops the cake for me.. i found it very amusing tho that one of thier songs was played to a lot of video clips from the sep. 11 attack...but i love it all the same. i was absolutly heart broken when i was unable to see them on tour last yr...but that is ok..they are still togeather. oh and if you like bono..have you seen the movie he helped right..acctually was more of his idea...its "the million dollar hotel" and has and awesome bluesy soundtrack to go with it...it has some u2 stuff on it..but they colaberate with other artists to form the million dollar hotel band. the album was mainly done by bono and brian eno...atleast i think it was eno...might have been paul mcguinnis(sp?) anyway its an awesome movie and album...the movie stars mel gibson, millia j...(the chick from the 5th element..can never remember her name) and even has a camio(sp?) of bono...anyway hope to talk to you soon
