So the boys in green have a new album out: Dead Again. And I know what some of you are thinking: Type O was so ten years ago. But for those fans who stick with them through and through, it's definately an album worth checking out. It's somewhat different compared to their last two albums. Still following that new Type O sound that appeared on World Is Coming Down and Life Is Killing Me, it's also a little more energetic, reflecting on their first few albums. Die hard fans will be able to hear a new sound from them . . . yet, still being that same ole' Type O.

This album, however, doesn't feature a cover song. But it's still a fun album.

I have thought about getting the album. Just wasn't sure about it.

Haven't given it enough listens to make an accurate judgement, but I'd rate it about a 6 or 7 on first listen. If you're a fan, it's definately worth checkin' out.

doesnt feature a cover, what's wrong with those boys? summer breeze is the greatest cover of all time, and fuck any motherfucker who doesnt think the same.

So ready to get this CD. I love Prophet of Doom (Extended Version). We're back to the old TON, if that song's any indication.

It is a good album but not much can supass Bloody Kisses

Um, yeah . . . October Rust. Fuckin' wannabe Type-O fan.

Anywho, the more I listen to it the more I really like it. It definately has some resemblance to The Origin of the Feces and Slow, Deep and Hard. I'm goin' to their show in Cincy here in a couple of days. Been many, many years since I last saw them. I'll let y'all know if they still rock . . . now that Peter got out of rehab.

Type O is one of those bands I just can not grow out of. I'm way past my rebellious metal-listening youth, but the fact of the matter is that Type O Negative just writes GOOD SONGS. I love the band and probably always will.

I agree. I actually love all of their albums, and I do like World Coming Down. And if you thought Life is Killing Me sounds like their older stuff, wait until you hear Dead Again. I can't get enough of the "Whoa-whoa-whoa's!"

After their show, I must say that I like the album even more. The songs are really fun and energetic live.

And speakin' of their show . . . it was pretty good. Not as good as when I saw them back in '99, but hey, that was 8 years ago and they were only slightly old back then. I mean, Josh has a mammoth gray beard. Which looks cool!

Anywho, they played a ton of old shit! Opened with "We hate everyone" and ended with "Black no. 1" and in between, they played "Kill you tonight," "Hey Pete," "Christian Woman," "Love you to death," and of course, a bunch of new songs. So all in all, good concert. My only complaint, the opening, that brief period of time before they came on stage. They played that chicken-dance song through the speakers for like five minutes, then it got dark and everyone was cheerin', and then the lights came up and the chicken song was back on . . . and then they did it again . . . and again . . . and again . . . and again. Finally, after fifteen minutes of that damn chicken-dance song, it finally stopped, got dark once more, everyone started cheering, and BAM! "It's a small world after all!" came on and the lights went back up. But that only lasted a few minutes . . . thank god!

But still, good show.

its on my list of "to-buy" as theres alot of albums coming out now that i have to get. NIN's new one, some Shpongle, another Infected mushroom, also want to get the perfect circle albums and the doors anniversary boxset (which will set me back a pretty penny) plus i'm going to two festivals this year, got the tickets but i know i'm going to discover tons more people and have to get their shit as well. which is going to suck.

Afro-Celt Soundsystem are at 'beautiful days' festival and i'm hooked after listening to an album my dads friend lent us.

Sweet. I'm going to try and catch them in Atlanta. They have no dates here in NC. I'm so stoked about getting the new CD. I have all of them... Well, I will, anyway.

Hell yeah, just picked up the CD and it kicks ass.
