Is anyone here using Cubasis?

There is a new version out now (3.0) and it has the added feature of turning the computer keyboard into a MIDI workstation (ie. it turns it into a synthesiser) does anyone know of a patch or other program that does this or if it is seperate from the Cubasis program proper?
I've just got my version 2.0 the way I like it and don't really fancy splashing out on the full version 3.0 of I don't have to
