i'm sitting here right now, listing to the "unbreakable" soundtrack. i can't help it, i'm a sucker for really good orchestrated music. my personal fav (and i hate to be cliche') is the "interview with the vampire" soundtrack. IT IS SO GREAT! beautiful music... that and braveheart (a little more on the scottish side, but of course, i'm scotch-irish

)

so what's your take?

Hmm, heavy classical, I would say, with a lot of chanting in it. I love it, dark, powerful, and moody...just like me

I also like the Stand by Me soundtrack... mostly '50's tunes, but when heard in relation to the movie, kinda eerie.

you know what song is really eerie? i dunno if you've ever heard it, but it's called '97 bonnie and clyde. when eminem does it (i couldn't help but hear it, my cousin was into it... yuck), it's actually pretty sick and kinda funny in a demented way. but tori amos just recently did a cover of it on her strange little girls disc and it was CREEPY!! it was night and i was riding on a tour bus on my way down to s.c. (16 hour drive) ... i had to quit ... i was getting so freaked out!!! newayz check into tori if you don't already listen to her... she's great

ff7 is my favorite rpg

definately. had an AWESOME soundtrack (Aeris' theme was GREAT & sepheroth's too)

another great one was lunar 2:eternal blue complete. there was this one song i LOVED to death but the name escapes me...

FFVII definatly had some good shit.
I liked the world map theme, Raid on mako reactor (First mission), Cid Highwind's theme, and the forgotten city in addition to the ones you mentioned.

ff9 had some great stuff too

i liked the opening theme, the worldmap theme, gizmalukes grotto, and the chocobo riding theme (i know that one is cheesy). there are others... oh gosh... i can't even remember! .:giggle:.

Indeed. Basil Paledouris' "Battle of the Mounds" is the ultimate Classical fight scene music.
