I personally prefer a small venue to a large one. I feel more intimate with the band, as well as the audience.

However, this has a downside. At a small, local music venue most of the patrons are locals. And at local shows, that means you're going to have a large amount of umm.. "younger" fans. The kind that think you have to trash eachother to appreciate a show. Nothing drives me more insane than a group of adolescents beating eachother up and blocking my view. In a larger setting, this isn't too much of a problem. You simply choose another spot. But in a small one... there's a limited amount of space. So if you please.. next time you're at a show... maybe a demonstrate a bit more restraint and respect?

shows we have here are generally R18. simply because all ages shows are expensive to organise.

it doesn't mean that the same thing doesn't happen though.

hell, i've taken part in being an annoyance myself. but i don't count, i'm small and cute
