Back 1994 there was an excellent band called Nirvana whose leader was the vocalist and guitar Kurt Cobain (1967-1994)
who was an extraordinary guitarist and a genius at writing.
Nirvana was the inspiration for many bands even though the can't even compare to it, the supremacy of Cobain was unique and great.
Since them there hasn't been many musicians or bands close to them and for that many things i made this threat so we all remember Cobain and his band.......Nirvana

Nirvana was, and always will be one of the greatest bands ever, Kurt will always be a great, and should be forever remembered. Our minds are our biggest and most deadly enemies.

these mtv shit threads really annoy me. anyways i dont wanna hear all this ohhh its their opinion dont bag on em whining, im not bagging on anyone here but i will bag on this shitrag named kurt cobain, good guitarist!!?? please i was playing nirvana songs from start to finish when i was 13 years old. yes unfortunately mtv had a hold of me for a brief year god its embarassing but oh well. and his songs were shit, anyone can write meaningless garbage and say it symbolizes the confusion and frustration with this crap society fuk that, ive yet to see something that expresses true passion or emotion from this geek tard cobain. anyway whatever let all the 14 yearold geeks start complaining about my post. and i agree that there hasnt been any bands that compare to nirvana since their demise they are by far the shittiest excuse for passion ive ever seen. no one can touch them in that aspect.

I agree blueboy with ALMOST everything you said. My disagreeance is this: How the HELL can you use a phrase like "geek tard" and expect to be taken seriously?
Im just playin with ya. Cobain is dead. And all is well in the world.
And there was much rejoicing....

Hmm. I came here to mention that Kobain wasn't that great and that he's much more famous now than when he was alive and all that jazz, but it seems like you guys already beat me to it.

i love nirvana and cobain and all that but i think the society of the 90's wants to forget Cobain. he's not nearly as popular as when they were touring and were big trendsetters (92-9 etc etc. of course, the week he died WAS a media blitz. i think that's the craziest it ever got.

hey PHROG, u bastard. Nirvana is a damn good band. I'm not gonna sit here and type "oh, nirvana is the greatest band in the world" cause i know that's not what u wanna hear. I will, however, say that the man had talent, and lasted longer that i thought he would. That's just my opinion. But don't call him a whiny bastard [stoopid kid]... seems to me you're the one whining.... º´¯`·. Messi ah

Like it or not, you have to face facts that although to some of you Kurt Cobain might have been nothing but whiny crap, to many people he was an inspiration musically. Not in the way of killing yourself, but he was important to a lot of people. I dont think anyone has the right to say that Kurt Cobain was crap, but then again I dont think that anyone has the right to say that he was a god or anything like that. At the end of the day, he was just a guy who was doing something that he believed in and putting messages across in his songs. I might be right, I might be wrong, who knows? Psycho_Bitch, you were driving the nail of conviction into the crucifix of doubt at the beginning of your post, then ya pulled it out like you weren't so sure of yourself. How come? lol lol j/k
You were right, the whole thing behind him was that he was, uinlike the glam rockstars of the time, a 'regular' guy who, when he (and the band) spoke musically, people listened. They masses were, like, tired of Skid Row and Guns n' Poseurs, you know?

Plastic music for the plastic masses..... too bad his head wasn't plastic cuz then your poor hero would still be amongst us..... his brains make good soup though and the mandela pattern from the blast was probably the most creative and original thing he ever did.... Amen Dyshade. Cobain was not a great songwriter, Ive heard more appealing music in the bathroom at an all you can eat mexican buffet. Do yourselves a favor and get a new idol, one with some talent.

area- thanks. Im glad someone else sees it my way. I dont see the point in ripping anyone to pieces, especially since if theyre already long dead and buried then there's nothing that they can do in their defense. Maybe if he was still here he would be making better music than anyone else. To say the least I'm pretty sure he would be knocking Britney off the top of the charts by now, with the fan base that Nirvana managed to clock up in the time that they were together. i don't want to offend dyshade, but perhaps you might have been a bit too old at the time to really be affected by the influence of Nirvana. you were probably, 24 in 1991, right? 25? i'm 22 now and as much as i worship New Order i don't think i could convert many Manson or Deftones followers to New Order just like i don't think i could appreciate N*Sync or 98 Degrees, ya know?????
i really understand how you thought Cobain was shite. some have told me his tracks always use the same 3 chords etc etc etc. that fact remains that his influence is pretty much imeasurable, like Jim Morrison for example. but in 20 years time, Jim and Kurt....and Janis and Jimi are basically gonna be the same rock idol. its America's whole 'Behind the Music' way of categorizing.

I used to like him, but I sorta just realized "This is kinda dumb." Oh well. I just don't like grunge anymore... I'm not ten anymore, ya know? Not saying that only ten year olds like grunge, just that I liked it when I was ten but now I could care less. It's a shame I should even have to clear that up....

Well i'm glad you cleared that up in ur mind, but for the record even though im not into the grunge thing any more, i still like Nirvana for what they were. "Today, if you are not confused, you are just not thinking clearly."

im glad area pointed out that cobain was a relief from the other crap being sold on mtv but it was still crap. I; like earnest bass was a stupid grunge kid until i actually took into to account what the music was and it turns out it's garbage. yea he had a huge influence on alot of people but that's just because people are zombies and nirvana was an easy product to swallow. with all the passionless shallow lives it was easy to buy into nirvana's shit wrapped in fake passion and fake meaningfullness. im glad i woke up and set out to find some real beauty not buy into the plastic emotions sold on mtv.

no offense taken area.... I was merely posting my opinion and there are many who disagree with it... such is the way of life..... if others like his music more power to them...
I just think that he was nothing special...... certainly he did not bring anything new into the music arena that wasn't already there.... Hendrix, Bowie, Waters, Danzig, Murphy..
now these people were innovators and changed the whole scene as was known for their times.... for those that have not a clue as to who I mean here are first names.... Jimi, David, Roger, Glenn, and Peter..... oh yeah lest I forget
The Damned(first punk band on vinyl) and Janis Joplin( first female rock vocalist) and Black Sabbath(first metal band) but grunge admit it or not was nothing but rehashed rock with metal power chords....... chords that a thirteen year old barely learning can play in thier sleep.... ooopps
I forgot The Legendary Pink Dots(first industrial band in 1979) followed by the infamous Skinny Puppy..... I have nothing against Nirvana but they certainly were not "NEW" nor in any way breaking any ground that had not been dug up long before their time.... now i understand that. i just think, as a generation, we won't always be able to refer beck to the 60's or 70's.....or even the 80's for that matter (where MY mind has been stuck a little due to the influences of techno and electronic music).
time will come when we'll have to cite rock influences from the 90's and i think Nirvana would be one of the first three listed, if not the first. i mean, who the hell played like them, really? ya know?
(God, i'm so bored. if anyone replies to this, i'll just die.)
