So.....what's everyones opinion on the new Queens of the Stone Age album?

I've listened to it maybe 3 or 4 times through now and it's growing more and more on me with each listen.
It's got that great retro punk/funk kinda feel to it, which only the Queens seem to pull off effortlessly.
Is it better than Rated R.....ummmmm.....I think it is.
Definitely the best album of the year so far and nice to see Dave Grohl behind the old drumkit again.

i saw qotsa at glastonbury.

wasnt really impressed as much. coulda stood and listened but didnt get absolutely wowed by it or want to stay. i actually went to watch nelly furtado instead.

Quite a few people I know are divided on them, you either love them or they just don't do anything for ya. *shrugs*
Besides, Furtado is hottie, so I don't really blame ya Tozzy.

I love QOTSA. They are so incredibly fun, and I have yet to be able to categorize them. As Josh Homme said, "I'm trying to find a niche for this group, so I can be alone again." They are awesome.

i fekkin love the new video, with the deer that they run over and then it beats em up and drives round in their truck and tries to run down little boy scouts and shit.

and with dave grohl drummin for em, (damn that guys everywhere...first tribute, now qotsa) its a classic. that dude drums like so fucking well.

i do like the band, i think theyre great its just i wasnt like...wowed by them when they were on stage live... i dont think they wanted to be there really.
